Similar to WaKo's, mine shifts with the avatar. For a long time, I was "Team 7's Finest" and "Bay City's Finest", which represented the badassery of my old avatar, John Lynch (Gen 13) and my home area (SF-SJ-Oak Bay Area).
The current one is unfortunately truncated. One of my new favorite Strong Bad e-mails is "Strongbadathlon", and of that, the funniest part to me was the specific portion regarding the Homestar Crud-Out-Of Beating. That's the clip where Homestar proves how his intimate knowledge of himself lets him get the gold... but that's not even the funniest part. "C'mon you little so and so... oh yeah, oh yeah? You think you got it like that...? What do you think this is, a place mat...? A diaper show...? It's not a diaper show... I think that's pretty obvious," is the dialog he lets out between of his beefy intangible arms into his cylindrical, tangible torso. The sheer of absurdity of the term 'diaper show' tickled me, and it was got me to make the change. The original tag of "Not a Diaper Show... Obviously." wouldn't fit, so I had to trim that down.
Mine goes with the avatar as well - and it's all tied together with the name of my playtest team. If you have never seen Kung Pow : Enter the fist then
a) you won't get it
b) you have a massive whole in your life
c) you need to go to blockbuster.
Well first you need to sign in. Then they put you in a room all by yourself and give you some pictures and a little tupperware container... after that you're on your own.
I wish I had a better story behind mine than "I think it's funny." It's obviously a play on words and a not-so-subtle sheep relations reference. You know, for all the Scots that play VS.
I try to update it regularly, but lately "regularly" has meant infrequently.
Mine is usually just a random geek catch-phrase. It changes whenever I feel like it and for no particular reason. If you want to know where it comes from, click the Dr. Tran link in my sig.
I was recently introduced to the very awesome Amy Winehouse. I highly recommend her to you guys.
One of her songs - "Me and Mr. Jones" - starts off as this really classic jazzy soul song about love except for this very out of place "What kinda ####ery is this?" she sings in the beginning. The first time I heard it I cracked up because it's just so out of place.
