Well, hmmm....
I was playing Marvel Defenders versus a Villains United build. It was turn 6. I had initiative, and I completed my attacks. He managed to stun a few good characters, leaving me 3 endurance, a Gargoyle (who had 18 DEF), and an Iceman (still 2 DEF). His attacks, and he has his 6-drop Alexander Luthor remaining. My Iceman was exposed (tried to hide behind my Submariner, but Submariner stunned). All he had to do was do damage to my Iceman. He attacks, it's legal. He passes, and I play 2 Defenders Defend and 2 Against All Odds, giving my Iceman 14 def. He plays Blinding Rage, so I play another Against All Odds. He powers-up to make him = 17 ATK, and I power-up, making me 18 DEF. Iceman survives, and we go to next turn, where I destroy him with Hulk.
1. Recruiting no characters against a Quicksilver deck until turn 3.
2. Turn 3, recruit Air-Walker
3. Attack with Air-Walker into the guy who wasn't Quicksilver (Ted Kord, I think)
4. After the stun? Total Anarchy + Betrayal. Bam!
Not super crazy, but man you could just see the pain in the guy's eyes.
Imagine....turn 7. Gotham Knight curve, I have 6-drop Dick Grayson. 5-drop Shiva, 4-drop Cassandra Caine, and 3-drop Huntress. I recruit 7-drop Batman DK with 16 cards in hand (23/23 7-drop....BAM!). I Dynamic duo sending my 6 and 4 drop into their 7. I send my 3 and 5 into their 6. I send my 7 drop into their 5. Press the attack Bat's. Swing into direct. Press again. Swing into direct again. Press one more time. Bat swings.
Final endurance:
Me: 26
Them: -74
But my all time favorite move...(not my move...but it's worth mentioning)
Turn 7. Opponent swings his 7-drop Batman DK 15/15 into my 7-drop (can't remember what it is) 15/15. He has two faced down cards. In response he flips overload targetting Batman, in response to playing overload he flips Detective Work and negates his own Overload. Draws a card for playing Detective Work from the resource row, Batman become 16/16...I got nothing to do. Batman stuns my 7. WTF????
I dont remember exactly if went down that way...but it's still messed up!!!
swinging for 19 turn one with my SquadFate deck. Turn one I draw I have in hand 1x Surprise Attack,2x one of each Fate artifacts,1x joystick. Draw my 2 I got Cloak and one more Surprise Attack. So 10 right off the bat than a joystick all fated up 9/9 swing into there open field. 19 turn one It was so much fun.
There was one game I played where I distracted the other player with my dazzling wit and charm and caused him to accidentally discard his 7 drop Bats when he only ran one and didn't play any graveyard recursion.
wild sentinels vs checkmate/vu at the gencon 10k. i team attack into a fated out talia with 4 wild sentinels and a combat protocols. they use safehouses and knightmare scenarios to threaten to brickwall the attack. i flip up a second copy of xavier's school in the row, sacking a resource to activate longshot one more time. after some reviewing of my notes i call mk 4 and protocols. i hit one of each and play the protocols for +8 more attack on talia. with 4 more wilds and 2 mk4 to their bizarro they scoop
also, playing gcpd cops with wayne manor and worldship, then on 7 playing conjuration, subbing in mary marvel, then dropping captain marvel to win the game
this was right after DSM came out. I built a Fearsome Five/New Gods deck. I stall out, use Takion to go ahead a resource and discarding all my dr. light 6 drops except one. Then play him turn 8 boosted bringing everything into play. Stun my opponents big drops with all the Dr. Light's and just smash face. Its only happened twice every.
i sat down to play my freind in semi finals of a local tourny and knew i couldnt beat his common enemy deck with normal squadren tactis.
i spent the whole game transfering forcefeild belt back and forth and killed him on turn 7 or 8 with a shape with like 29/28 attack
I play largely in a 3-person play group. I and Gdaybloke have been playing for decades (give or take), while our current 3rd man came in with MXM. His collection of older cards isn't so great, but he's picked up a few from our spares and trades with other people.
We're playing a 3-player game. It's turn 8. Gday has an 8-drop. 3rd Guy has Terra and some random Titans. I have a wicked stall Heralds deck with lots of my drops still around, including San hidden.
Gday plays SKREEEE! on San and swings in with his 8-drop. I'm hovering, and this will put me out.
"Stephane," I say to 3rd Guy, "please stun San with Terra." This is obviously a bad move for him, so he refuses. I try harder. "I'll give you... um... some rares." He still won't do it. I sigh. "Stephane, I will give you my Garth if you stun San right now." Even Gday is forced to admit that that is probably a good deal.
So, I lost my Garth to win a multiplayer game with no ante on the line.
