Character
3 Cost
Reservist
When this card becomes stun, you make put into play a reservist character from your resource row with cost less than the number of resources you control, If you do put this card into your resource row.
5/1
Comlink, 0 cost equipment
Put ten frequency tokens on Comlink. Equipped charcter has
"Activate-> remove x tokens from Comlink and remove 2 frequency tokens from comlink. Reveal the top of card of your deck. If it is a character with a cost of X put it in your hand, otherwise put it on the bottom of your deck. Continue to do this until you reveal a character with a cost of X. Then shuffle your deck."
Flavour Text: "We need reinforcements NOW!"
Guess what, you can use this to net cards multiple times until you run out of frequency tokens. Then put a new one on and continue to call in the troops!
I thought about it kOing itself after use but that seems wrong. Why would it KO? No you continue calling on differnt frequencies until you get a responce or hail all the frequencies!

I really like tim's idea, it had originality to it and is a nice notion. Here is my idear.
The Call
Plot Twist
Cost: 2
Play only if you've played no other plot twist this turn.
To play discard a character card and name a character and a cost.
Reveal cards from the top of your deck until you reveal a character of the chosen name and chosen cost and add it to your hand. All other revealed cards are placed on the bottom of your deck.
That is why an equip really can't be used for a character search. To easy to get.
There are lots of one-shot equips out there, you just have to make it KO itself. As for being easy to get, don'r forget that you have to draw an equip search just to get it, and you always run the risk of the equip getting blown up. You just have to design it correctly, to be good enough to use but not TOO good.
Break the Fourth Wall
Plot Twist //3
- To play, remove a card in your hand from the game.
- If each character you control shares a single affiliation, choose a character card you own from outside of the game with that single affiliation, reveal it, then put it into your hand. Remove Break the Fourth Wall from the game. "I get the feeling that we're all just pawns in a great game of chess."
At casual tournaments you could get anyone, but at tourneys you probably have to bring a ten-card outside-of-game pile to choose from.
To play, exhaust a [some affiliation symbol] character you control and discard a card.
Whenever you would draw a card, you may choose character or non-character. If you do, instead, reveal cards from the top of your deck until you reveal a card of the chosen type. Put it in your hand, and put the other cards revealed this way on the bottom of your deck. Lose 1 END for each card revealed this way.

Woot for stealing from good Magic card ideas?
As I read this, in my mind I was saying, "Did this Cocktopus just rip off a Magic search mill card and claim it as his own?" But then I read the bottom and laughed and felt bad for thinking you were a Cocktopus.
Hey now... I did add the burn part. Also, it would have to require a bit of an investment into playing the stamped team. Plus... what card game HASN'T borrowed from Magic at some point? =P lol
There are really two issues. One is being able to hit a character when you need to. The other is the fact of getting the characters you wanted to play later on.
Filler Lad
Version: Replacement Boy
Cost: Nill
Atk: -1 Def: -1
Flight: No Range: No
As an additional cost to play Filler Lad, pay X resource points. Put 2 times X +1/+1 counters on Filler Lad and X cost counters on Filler Lad.
Reveal a character card from hand with cost less than or equal to the number of cost counters on Filler Lad, Activate, Remove Filler Lad from the game -> Put that character card into play. Use this power only during your recruit set.
"Here he comes to fill your spot!"
Basically ... he works like Phat but you can later use him to give the drop you wanted substitute, and remove him for the effect.
Sounds a lot like a similar idea I'd made up for a fantasy set...
Grunge, What's Close At Hand
Character - 1
(G13) Gen 13
1/1
Loyalty-Reveal
Grunge gets +2/+2 for each cost counter on him. Cost-Boost: X (You may pay X extra resource points as you play Grunge. If you do, he comes into play with X cost counters on him.)
I was thinking of using a 'cost counter' theme to represent Gen-Active characters for that fantasy Wildstorm set. Besides representing the growth of latent powers, it also serves several other tasks. For one, he allows a Gen 13 deck to use him as a 'wildcard' in lieu of having a dedicated search card. Perhaps they have a sort of search card like the old one for the NG and DE teams, where you can only look down-curve from your discard. So if John Lynch (7) is chucked, he can grab a boostable Grunge or Freefall via their search effect. It also makes the effects where you reveal some number of cards and pick one, since you can run a bunch of characters with boostable effects and have a better shot of hitting a character that you'd be able to play effectively.
So I don't look like a total WaKo biter, here's another similar concept:
Freefall, Jump to the Ceiling
Character - 2
(G13) Gen 13
2/3, Flight
(Activate), Reveal a (G13) character card from your hand -> Exhaust target character with cost less than Freefall's.
Freefall gets +0/+3 for each cost counter on her. Cost-Boost: 2 (You may pay 2 extra resource points as you play Freefall. If you do, she comes into play with 2 cost counters on her.)
Here's one that doesn't use the word reveal either:
There Can Be Only One!
4 Cost Plot Twist
To play, choose a cost.
Remove all cards in your deck with that cost from the game. Flip a coin. If it is heads, you may put a character card with the highest attack among cards you removed in this way into your hand. If it is tails, a character card with the highest defense instead.
or, a less wordy version
