I was standing next to a friend of mine who was a judge at Indy while he was talking to someone from UDE. Can't remember his name, but I wouldn't say who it was if I did, so I guess it doesn't matter. Anyway, my friend asked him when he thought they would announce their plans for next year, and he said he expected them to make a public announcement in a month or two.

I seem to remember someone (Jason?) who stayed to the end of the Volunteer's meeting on Sunday saying that Jeff Donais & Co. said something similar in response to the same question in the Q&A session, but my memory could be failing me. I had to leave early to catch a plane, so I didn't hear what was said. But hey, at least I managed to win an EA LeRoy Jenkins before I had to leave!

well It will better if they show the whole Year and not just a few months.

The only thing said at Indy was that they were planning out the 2008 OP in September. They never said when they would be announcing anything.

Maybe Yip's post about the AOA legality and the Legends clarification was the announcement.

What was said at the volunteer meeting, if I recall correctly, is that in September, they would be locking themselves in a room and planning out the OP for 2008, and that they didn't have any OP for any games finalized or planned yet for 2008. I know my local PTO hasn't received her UDE schedule for next year yet for any games.

From what I heard, part of the reason they didn't have the OP locked down has because, at the time, they didn't know if they'd have to include Clix related stuff into their plans if that merger had gone through.

I don't think that was said at the meeting, but I suppose it's a possibility.

They had an offer in for Topps, it was rejected in favor of a lower offer by Disney, prompting an investigation by stock holders. All deals are on hold. Topps / UpperDeck is now very unlikely.
