Countdown is doing the "Exiles" thing with both the Forerunner/Monarch AND The Challengers of the Unknown. [While Booster is doing the "blast from the past" thing, which is also cool].
So, doing a mini-set that focusses on, basically, elseworlds type stuff would be cool.
On the same token, Marvel could do an Exiles type set [they already have characters with the version Exile, they could build it up some more and show off more of the alternate universe characters.]
Speaking of Alternate Universes ... one for the next Marvel mini-set: Ultimates.
Watchmen, with a release date of 2009, would probably be better as a later DC one. Kingdom Come is still timely, as JSA is bringing Superman from that World over [it just did anyway], and they have Starman as well involved.
Get rid of the miniset thing all together. As long as this game stays in production all of these items could be featured as parts of sets. One big elseworlds set for example would cover kingdom come, wildstorm, red rain, etc. But more importantly bring back EAs some for the UDE store but for the sake of turnout to events bring back exclusive prize cards. The number one excuse for not going to elite series tournaments is that they can be bought on the points store.
I also love the Zombies, but don't think they will print enough of them to make it really as fun as i would like. Monsters in general woudl be cool, but thats what the Underworld are all about.
Since these sets aren;t for 'sale', they may be able to get away with Amalgam cards, which would be cool. Darkclaw that is dual affiliated X-Men and Gotham? Nice!
But I think the sets should really enhance something already in game. While I really like the AoA cards, X-Men Assemble is the clear winner... hence why it is out of stock. They had BETTER get more!
So for things that add to other teams, I woudl like to see SHIELD presented, and have some of them gain teams of those in play, work as a support subset with newat abilities.
I also STRONGLY believe that Enemy and Mobilize type cards need to be point cards or reward cards more often. Deckbuilding should be able to use these type cards, not force people to buy aggressively just to GET these few cards.
These formats are screwing the dollar value in the collector market anyway, so why not reward players (and those who buy boxes and get points) by giving them access to cards for their play value?

Hmm ... let me double the strength of my suggestion for Amalgam. If they can do it, having a set where they can dual-affiliate between Marvel and DC teams would be awesome, and lead to some very cool interactions.
Kingdom Come, no doubt. It has lots of similarities with AOA, for example it uses some teams that have already appeared in the game(JLA, Outsiders) and some that don't(Mankind Liberation Front). We get some characters with slightly different powers/team affiliations and some characters not featured in the game yet(Zatara, Captain Comet, Ibn al Xu'ffasch, Magog, etc).
And yes, I would totally support Amalgam for a third mini-set.
... would also be a good way to get that Negative Zone feature without having to put them in an actual set if UDE wants to focus on more 'recognizable' teams in primary sets.
