And let us not forget that Captain America is a Super-Legend, with material dating back to the 40's. His Invaders material was exceptional, and I would love to see him dual affiliated, or to see a 40's version of him in print.
Hulks ok but aren't there like 6 versions of the guy already.
I guess I'm looking at it this way - Cap can make it with a little help from his friends, Hulk can't (or at least, shouldn't IMO). I view them as equals in terms of "real world" legendary status, so I don't think one deserves to be more legendary than the other. That said, for Hulk to have a fighting chance, while playing off the themes of his character, he needs a lot of support in terms of plot twists since he should be primarily a solo character. Sure, he has his Warbound team, but I don't think he made his mark in the Marvel Universe as a team player.
Cap has like 3 versions. How can you say he's had his chance? Hulk has had 7.
Well if Hulk wins there better be a Sentry card that would own him.
I say that he had his chance because a solo deck ith just cap would suck considering he can't support himself. The Avengers was Cap's chance to prove himself and to be honest most Avengers decks dont even run Cap.
Hulk if done right will be the ####.

You just explained exactly why UDE needs to do right by Cap.
Also, people seem to be forgetting that Cap has appeared in his own solo book forever.

He's a team player and a solo superstar.
The fact that people are forgetting isn't a surprise, no one really pays attention to Cap unless there are other recognizable such as Spider-Man, Iron-Man, and the rest of the Marvel Universe.
Hulk is still kicking ### with the whole WWH series and was kicking all of Earths heroes in the ###. He didnt get a chance to beat down Cap cause Cap was a bit indisposed in a coffin.
What? For their current series? That's meaningless.
Captain America Comics #1 debuted in 1941.
Incredible Hulk #1 debuted in 1962.
There have been times when Cap hasn't had a solo title. But he's been a solo act much longer than the Hulk has.
Cap did predate the Hulk. But after WWII was over, Cap quickly dropped in popularity and disappeared. He returned around the same time as the Hulk first appeared [and Iron Man, etc]. Hulk had a 6 issue series that intro'd him, but it was cancelled. Hulk helped found the Avengers, and the Avengers 'found' Captain America in the ice. Hulk went on to co-star in Tales to Astonish, while Cap went to co-star with Iron Man in Tales of Suspense. Both eventually took over those respective books [issue 100 for cap, 102 for hulk]. Those books lasted until 96 for Cap, and 99 for Hulk. Hulk's rebooted series was renamed "Hulk" but got Incredible again at issue 12, and kept going. Cap's book was cancelled in 96, and since then there have been 4 more volumes of Captain America. Which means 3 more cancelations after '96. That's Aquaman territory.
