No promises I never got Jackal to work out despite many desperate attempts, I mean sure it could work, but we both know 1 out of 10 games isn't getting it off the kitchen table.
But I thought some did T+TM at Worlds? No? eh, I need a new impossible project maybe this is it, I'll wait for the set though.

Shouldn't it work out the same as BT though.
No, Jason Hager used New Era + T-Bolts Mountain, which is similar to your New Era engine. Even if a deck was Thanos + T-Bolts Mountain, it would normally do some kind of turn 6 or 7 combo, which isn't bad compared to a turn 3 Black Thorn win.
So this becomes a Modern combo when you replace Black Thorns with Thanos (3)s, add an extra Panoptichron, and wait a turn, correct?
When Thanos leaves play and comes back in, that resets his "only once per turn" tag, no?
Yes, since he changed Zones. And since te Panoptichrons will be changing zones too when they're KO'd/cycled, putting a "once per turn" stamp on them won't help either.
A darkness is coming. One that threatens to destroy us all.
I just did a search, the only thing I could think of to trigger continuously is strategic thinking.
Not sure what good a endless stream of short-lived +1/+1 counters would be though without an endless way to move counters around or spend them on something else...

Bigspooky built a Thunderworld deck trying to abuse Thanos and Thunderbolts Mountain but not for worlds. I played against it at a tournament gone bad where he and I were the only two to show up. The idea was to get T-bolts Mountain into play with Thanos along with the 4 drop Thunderbolts character that gives an extra resource. Once you have enough resources to play Gamma Bomb, you wipe out the board and then netherworld gift an extremely large above the curve character into play at the end of the turn, before the extra resources are KO'd. Pretty much an guaranteed scoop for the opponent at that point.
You could have characters that are shifted from play be unique with other characters shifted from play. I don't know if that makes sense from a rules perspective but it would keep you from having two characters with the same name shifted from play at the same time. Uniqueness is checked when they come into play anyway, why not have it check when they are shifted too?

Being shifted is not in play. And being in play is the only thing that checks for Uniqueness.
Think of the removed from game zone as you would of your deck or hand. Multiple cards are fine
so can you guys explain to me how black thorn or thanos can get out of the out of play zone since they don't have the shift keyword so they don't have the "remove x shift counters-> etc". And does shift counters work like cosmic counters where non shift characters cannot gain shift counters or does it work in this very different way. And yes I get that the location say shift target character out of play but does that mean they auto get the shift keyword or what?
Any character who is shifted has the text that allows you to remove X, etc.
The keyword Shift itself only has the text "Pay 1 or more resource points -> Shif tthis character." The other text is a rule of the game, that any character can use, as long as they were removed from play via shifting.
