He has a Fantastic Four deck that I built for him (went and got him his own Signal Flares and Clobber' Times and everything!) that he is dying to play with. He wants to play with more kids his own age, but he loves playing against / with grown ups. He loved the Fantastic Four movies, Spider-man movies and Ghost Rider, even. He enjoyed the X-men movies, but they definitely didn't move him like the others did.
He wants a deck with all of his favorite characters in it (which will have to be Avengers) since he wants the FF, Iron Man, Spider-man and Hulk all on the same team (which to him still means the same deck).
And Brian, I didn't mean to make people sound like noobs. lol
I just remember the other guy saying that Chris had a 7 drop Sabertooth in play on turn 4 some how. :)
Yeah, I can't wait till he gets to take his FF deck to an event and play with his own cards instead of having to play with cards he's never seen before.
Well congrats to you and little you! I wish I had his packs too! I wasn't there but those packs seemed great. And I hope he continues, we need all the players we can get!
I'm not going to have him this weekend, but I decided to buy him his own box for storing cards, wrap that as a present (yes, I'm going to give my son an empty box for one of his presents), and then a handful of booster packs to start his own personal collection.
(as a 17 month old, he watched me building a star wars deck. I left the room for a moment to get him a drink, leaving my cards in piles on the floor, only to return to find him rolling around on the floor in my cards throwing them up in the air. I was not amused at that time, as he had wrecked a lot of rares, and if you know anything about Star Wars, you know that the rares in Star Wars were fairly pricey. So I then gave him his own box of star wars cards so that this would never happen again. From then on, if I got out my cards, he'd run and grab his box and do what he saw me doing: take all of the cards out of the box, move them around on the floor and then put them back in the box. Even then he had it all figured out :) )

I'm the guy who said this- Chris and I learned how shift worked at the same time. The entire VS day was lots of FUN -must have been because I bought a box Evolution

The look on his face as he tries to figure out what kind of mean person would give you a box for Christmas and then handing him his package of boosters and watching his eyes light up.. that's the moment I'm looking forward to. His mom tells him no so much of the time that he is used to disappointment (how horrible is that for an 8 year old?) so the times where I get to show him something much better than disappointment really mean a lot. Sitting with him through High School Musical 3 at the movie theater, for instance, after his mom bailed on him 2-3 times, and things like that. So when he is looking forward to games related stuff and I get to surprise him, well, he really enjoys the surprise side of things.
And RIP, I want to thank you personally for being cool for Chris to play with! He had such a good time that it was one of the highlights of his day!
The important question is doest christian like supernatural. Also, Curtis check your thornchronicles mail, i sent you an email through their as pms are down here.
I've been trying to reach you, Bob, but Suanne deleted the email, assuming I had your email address. I left you a message with your mom about the comic book convention (a couple of weeks ago, now).
Christian likes it but couldn't seem to keep up with the show as well, as it wasn't scary enough to hold his attention (since he was expecting it to be scary). I loved Season one and cannot wait to see season 2. I'm trying to stay current with the season and Smallville, too. Doomsday made me smile, though it was a little hokey.
