Herald the object of the deck is to put Mystique in play with Strikers ability since she has The Purifiers name while in the KO pile. That way one could play Identity Theft and steal the opposing stunned characters.
I am building a very similar deck but I recur Mystique with Poison Ivy. That way with Manta on 5 I could keep playing Identity Theft. STTG would help in having Mystique in the KO pile.
I think you can search for Mystique with both of them.
NO, you can't.
Do you read before you post? I don't think you do.
I'll post it again, just for you:
From the MEV FAQ:
Quote
Mystique, Raven
Character, 1, Marauders/Brotherhood, 1/2, Concealed, Range
Reservist <p> Mystique has all character names while in your deck, hand, or KO'd pile.
Mystique has no extra names in play or on the chain, so her power has no impact on uniqueness. It does allow her to power-up any character, but not to be powered-up by any character. Carrying the Torch looks for the name of a character in an RFG zone, where Mystique has no extra names. If you return this Mystique to your hand with Origin Story, you search for a card with the same name she had as she left play ("Mystique"), so you can't search for a copy of this Mystique (because she has all names while in your deck).
From the Rules CRD:
Quote
Two cards have the "same name" if they have the same number of names and all of them match, regardless of the order in which those names were gained. Otherwise, they have "different names." Two cards "share" a name if they have at least one name in common.
The cards in question, from Ccgdb.com:

Card Number : MUN-328

I have also been working on a deck like this and this is the build that has been working for me with a constant turn 5 or 6 win. (Exile still crushes me on 4.)
Playtesting has been decently successful with this build.
3 Mystique - Raven
3 Mystique - Short Leash (3 Drop) (In here because she is a 5/5. With Purifiers, very easy to Lion of the Lambs on 3 after taking out his 3 drop.)
4 William Stryker
3 Nimrod (Works amazingly well with Lion Among the Lambs! Play LAtL after his recovery effect)
3 Lady Deathstrike
2 Bastion
3 Sentinel Squad O.N.E - Sooo good! (Minimum 4 Purifiers in hand when he comes into play.)
18 Purifiers (Can go to 17 and add 1 more Mystique - Raven)
3 Birthing Chamber
2 Construction Site
1 Alias Investigation
4 Origin Story (This card is an absolute must in this deck!)
3 Lion Among the Lambs
3 Identity Theft
2 Purified (We have a Cyclops Legend in our metagame)
3 Superhuman Registation Act
Essentially this is a Board Control Swarm/Rush. It can work both on Odds or Evens. I found it works better on Evens.
Mulligan for William Stryker unless it's a good starting hand without him.
Never play Lady Death Strike on your turn 3 if you have "Even" initiative unless you have a hand full of Purifiers to avoid getting taking out by a 2 drop or you get a bad draw and have nothing else to play on turn 3.
Another version of this ran Overwhelming force. Which worked really nicely with Deathstrike. Attack with a purifier, overwhelming, KO the purifier that attack with her, have her attack again...Unless its directly.
Ah, well I guess they'll find out they are wrong when they take their deck to a tourney with a smart judge lol.
Don't worry. I didn't note the word same on both cards. My fault nš1
I couldn't read all comments because I was "working". My fault nš2
I'm not so sold on SHRA in this build...
- you guys found it better than other team-ups?
- it's so useful? I mean, I know you can use its "secondary power" to bring one (or luckily two) characters in one or 2 turns....but they really deserves the slots you give to these cards? Maybe some more draw would be equally useful?
Superhuman Registration Act
1 - A clarification on your bracket comment (or luckily two). You can only use the recruit from the top of your deck effect only once per turn. But 90% of the time, once is enough. And thus effectively gives me an extra card in hand during recruit.
2 - If you meant use its secondary twice but on seperate terms...disregard my opening statement, but know that using its secondary power once per turn in this deck is extremely useful for card advantage.
3 - Since the 2 drop Caliban nullifies draws and there is a decent deck in my community that plays him. I run Superhuman Registration act in synergy with Construction Site if my top card is a location or a Plot Twist, and in Synergy with Alias Investigation to rally a card without getting stop by Caliban. (He stops Draw, not Rally)
4 - If in your community there is no 2 drop Caliban decks; by all means, run 3 Drop Vision and Invasion plans. They also work very well.
However, where I play, a lot of times they become dead cards. I might even take out my Birthing Chambers for some Death of the Dreams if Total Anarchy makes an appearance.
5 - And finally, if you do run Matthew Risman in your build and you have a Superhuman Registation Act in play with an Alias Investigation and you do have a Purifier or Mystique-Raven (in this instance she will work) as your face up card. Attack with Risman, take your Purifier or Mystique, then use Alias investigation on your next card. If you are lucky and also have your Contruction Site up and the next card happens to be a plot twist (or location) use that before your Alias Investigation. All of this without fear of 2 Drop Anti-Draw Caliban.

Ok, I get the point: even if you have your turn drop in your hand, it is always better to recruit it from the top of your deck to have a pseudo-draw. I completely agree.

Very good point: I've just realized that rally actually add a card to your hand (so it's not a draw effect). And...I have played against a shifted Caliba...I hate him!

I don`t like Vision in this deck. Invasion Plans is a good idea. I actually play 2 Death of a Dream and 2 have a Blast! because here Omnipotence is in almost all decks...
