Testing has been tough. Doomcaliber puts in the work as well as Tour Guide, but I just didn't like the thorough fare I had with Raven and everyone else
I don't whether I should offended or indifferent by this remark.
Neither, I really don't think either of us meant anything offensive and being indifferent would only be to your detriment.

However I did manage to see TGU opening up some major plays. Would it be worth the investment?
Such a loaded question. At this point, as you stated, I don't see DW overtaking plants and agents as the top two decks. It will weed out all the other decks and settle in a comfortable third place, but whether that's enough for a nearly 400 dollar investment, I honestly don't know. Of course, if you plan to move on to another top deck you'll likely not mind having TGU's somewhere in the coming year and a half before they are reprinted anyway. But just to make DW more playable ? I honestly couldn't answer that question for you.

Remains to be seen, as they will be an expensive pain if they don't. Gemini Imps are there, but so is debunk and similarly like minded tech. Do I expect it game 1, no. Game two, yes and I side them myself for the mirror match.
Well, not siding debunk would be pretty foolish if you are a dark world player. For starters, triple debunk opens up options plants, since beside imps it also hits dandylion, sangan, spore, glow-up bulb, gorz, tragoedia, you name it. For that matchup alone you'll want them, and of course it can't hurt to side a pair in against other decks. Siding the full three could hurt though as it'll sit dead a lot, even if it does hit the most key counter card to your deck. But imps or watcher will be the main line of defense for most people. Not the only line, but debunk is a must, yes.

I like the idea of skill drain b/c it is forgotten about. Granted DW isn't going to be affected by it. Then again, I truly don't expect agents to vanish overnight in favor of DW. I'll give you Sillva over Goldd. Makes sense to me.
Skill drain is good, but as a side card to all other decks. Auto-losing in any matchup to the big three isn't good. Of course if you aren't going to make the investment in TGU (understandable, I traded my two for a whole bunch of TU and CP foils) and you don't have your hopes set too high for this format, then its an acceptable alternative nonetheless. Just be prepared with some heavy sideboarding material for the mirror match. and perhaps some protection. Like definitely maining at least one copy of SLR and such (not a bad idea regardless since dragged down makes you set your hand).
Yeah, some people have their own style and some cards, despite proven to work or not, just may not fit that style, Decktype, or comfort zone that person has.
Like way back, I didn't go throwing Cyber Dragon into every single Deck capable of springing it as sometimes the overall strategy of the Deck doesn't really allow it to do much more beyond its Special Summon, which wasn't always enough, but people insisted on using it in everything they could for the sole purpose of being a staple in one way or another.
This the slotting I'm using aside from the base
Doomcaliber knight: I find him pretty interesting. While it slows my explosion and Thunder King generally fits better, the fact he covers me in hand/ grave effects adds some stability, allowing me to ward off imps, other DW monsters and just about pain I come across. At 1900/1800 , he adds some high powered normal summon and doesn't always leave it up to grapha.
-Sillva: id like to use more, but he can searched out fairly easily. More or less a hand disruptive approach, he'll side out if I need a pinch more destruction
Compulsory Evac/Bottomless: they're both Good. Superb in fact. Most extra deck monsters bar Stardust don't hold well. Evac has some versatility. Was thinking of replacing BTH with either D. Prison or Trap Stun
I can fit two gates if I remove DWD. However, I would have to find room for the third. Since I run double Mind Crush and Dustshoot, if I could get more into the hand, i'd be ok. I'm not so worried to play Dark Highlander as I am by Chaos King Archfiend.
People seem to go for chainability more, so Trap Stun would work better there, though Dimensional Imprisonment also isn't bad given some anti-"destroy" cards out there and all.
