hmmm that is intresting they really need to get with the ocg on these things cuz this game just feels like it is all over the place

The TCG is really f*cked up right now due to different rulings on priority of ignition effects, difference in TCG rulings regarding effect monsters detached as Xyz materials, the current banlist and the existence of two very broken TCG exclusives that feed off that, with really nothing to keep it in check.

Really nothing is currently viable without a tour guide engine, and its early plays are going to dictate what other decks are remotely viable and cards like effect veiler will slowly become staples in all decks, with no exceptions.

The format is good for chain burn, but we all know if chain burn shows up in numbers, the top decks are only 3 Hanewata away from shutting us out completely again. And if I'm not mistaken that little f*ck is a fairy tuner too.

i'm really really tempted to shell out the cash on a third tour guide and hop the bandwagon for a few months until the format settles or changes. Far as i know no regionals are scheduled near here in 2011; so its not like I have to set up a serious tournament record in the near future anyway. Might as well just play to keep a feel for the game until I find something worth playing, even if it costs me as much as it does ...

But obviously this first month we'd be stupid not to play chain burn ...
