Just curious if anyone has sent this to the WIN for clarification yet.
The thing that keeps me hanging on to this topic is while it may seem like a straightforward burst effect, so did President Osborn’s bodyguard trait. And that was ruled so that the bodyguard loses the bonuses if they moved outside of the 4 squares from President Osborn.

Apples and oranges. President Osborn clearly has an aura effect. It was ruled to work exactly as it was written on the card.

President Osborn’s trait is not a passive effect and it has a duration, so wouldn’t it fall more in line with a burst than aura?
Anyways, I just wanted to see if there was a bit more clarification on Hope’s trait before my venue’s month 3 event since people were on the fence with how her trait fully works.

Incorrect. Go back and actually read the thread that was posted here. Sassamo was correctly explaining it from page 1. Osborn's trait is strictly a passive aura effect that grants the use of a FREE action. If the Bodyguard moves outside the radius, the effect is lost. If an effect is lost, the duration ends.
Oddly enough, that came up while I wasn't around much for a while, so I wasn't involved in the thread, but I do distinctly remember seeing it after the fact and wondering why people couldn't understand the distinction. Especially given how well it was being explained in that thread.
"If Hope Summer moves away from the adjacent character, can she still use the chosen character's powers?
No. When Hope Summers activates her effect, until her next turn, she can use the standard powers of the chosen character, but only if she is adjacent to that character."
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
Before anyone asks, no, I don't do lottery numbers.
And people said I was being cynical after an eyeroll to their first intent ruling after the new rules... now it's becoming just as commonplace as it was before. Sigh...

If you disagree with me, then why would you think it needs errata? You can choose to "understand" it any way you want, but that doesn't change how the wording of the power parses on a technical level.
If they want it to work that way, fine, they need to address it. But as it is actually written on the card, which is all we have to work with, it does not work that way.
This is the kind of stuff that happens when you don't have anyone with actual understanding of the rules proofreading powers.
At best, I expect we'll end up getting an intent ruling without any actual rules support, much like we got with Starro and several other things. WK's has this bizarre aversion to issuing errata that is anything more than fixing typos.
Wow, did you notice the smiley? Why are you so angry and aggressive at everyone all the time, seriously? Take a breath. Relax.
You are the most caustic and irritable person to everyone one who disagrees with you. What's your damage? Seriously.
I disagreed with your interpretation and you were wrong. Does that really hurt your fragile ego so much?
Chill dude. Seriously chill. And don't ever insult me or mansplain anything to me again.
If a game and it's followers cause you to burn so much maybe you should find another hobby. Have a pleasant day.
Smiley or not... you went out of your way to say "you're wrong" and "i'll accept your apology ". A smiley doesn't absolve you of coming across like a jerk.
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing
