Agent of Atlas: The Spaceman: When Uranian is given a POWER action to use the S.H.I.E.L.D. team ability, the chosen character has Precision Strike until the end of your turn. Uranian Eternal Technology: Invulnerability, Running Shot, Passenger: 6. I Don't Think Venus Could've Bamboozled That Guy Any Better: Mind Control, but Uranian does not take pushing damage when using it. After resolutions, friendly characters with the Agents of Atlas keyword can use Stealth until the start of your next turn.
A Rescue Mission
Marvel Boy, Get In Here Fast!
This Is A Job For Bob
Sorry, I Was Wrapped Up In A Dogfight With Those Jets
Jimmy, I'm Detecting The President's Brain-Waves Behind That Door…
Ken, I Don't Know Why You're So Amused Every Time We Mention My Homeworld
I Restored What Was Left From My Last Mental Impression of Him
Bob is bringing the meteor smasher........ and his romantic inclinations towards anemones, but we don't talk about that.
I Don't Think Venus Could've Bamboozled That Guy Any Better:, Ohoho, I like that, not only does it offer your team a respite but it pairs beautifully with Jimmy's late dial super leadership. I particularly like the way you worked in pseudo-Willpower.
I do love handing out Stealth, on my list of favorite relics the Black Light ring is right at the top. Its even better that its one of Bob's best tricks and a great gag used throughout the series.
Handing out Precision Strike is going to come in handy.
As you'd expect Bob brings an array of support powers to the map for his Agent friends.
I do like the Uranian with his cape more, but that's an ascetic choice on my part for the sculpt.
I'm also liking this trend of late dial specials, its really in keeping with the "At their best when their backs are to the wall" attitude of the Agents.

WK: You want Avengers* sets FOREVER ? Sure can do !
Let it be known that WK listens to the fans.
*Avengers = Carol Danvers Captain Marvel, Steve Rogers Captain America, T'challa Black Panther, Tony Stark Iron Man, Bruce Banner Hulk, Thor Odinson Thor and Nick Fury.
fortunately, the pre-mcu roster of the series provides us with more than what we've gotten ad nauseum. and the repeaters we do have in here oughtta come across as quite different than the norm

In all honesty though, this is the book that made me a life long comic fan and a huge Avengers fan. I was 12 when it came out and got every issue. I had gotten some stuff from discount bins before, but this was my first time getting every issue of a series and following it the whole way through instead of piecing a story together from what I could find. This and Busiek's main Avengers book made Hawkeye and Hank Pun my favorites to this day.
I'm very much looking forward to what you can do.
hahaha, and yeah it was amazing. it answered questions, filled in gaps, tied together things wonderfully, busiek is a master craftsman of continuity. it made me want to know more about avengers lore than i was already familiar with. and especially back in the late '90s when avengers weren't the headliner (outside of canon) it made them super interesting

For shame Baron, I'm just going to have to follow this thread and keep you honest, its a sacrifice, but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.
Avengers Infinity is the blueprint that longform events should aspire to emulate. It enhanced rather than destroyed continuity and didn't waste the readers time with endless barely connected tie-in issues disrupting other books for no good end.
again, look what happens with a self-contained character-driven story. it made me a life-long fan of busiek
and i didn't want to presume your interest, but i'm super glad you're here. you've been a great supporter of my humble work in the creative corner of the 'realms and i appreciate it

yeah it's my little obsession. i tried walking away. i even thought of hanging up the hat after this one (due to mental conflict with modern dials and power leaping expectations) but i keep getting ideas for more sets
I actually reread the entire Agents of A.T.L.A.S. storyline last week ( including the stories running through "Incredible Hercules" of course ).
This is a great dial for an often ignored character with a deep history.
Jimmy hits hard and then transitions more fully into his role as combat leader of the Agents
Alright, Team. Let's Go Get Some Dinner And Turn In Early., that's the kind of special that can turn the tide of battle if used right and fits Jimmy to a veritable tee.
I can tell right now your take on the Agents is gonna break my little black heart, like a starving man watching a banquet behind a foot of bullet proof glass.
for some inexplicable reason, my mates and i always referred to him as jimmy the woo. mad respect, he earned his definitive article
and with that respect i let him lead off the set. agents of atlas are such a fun gang, just oozing comicsdom in their very existence and archetypes. so jimmy gets to wield his unquittable attitude on the map with his manipulation of theme team bonuses. he wants his team to work like a charm and even when thinks seem dire, never give up. that's what his is meant to represent, turning it all around by sheer, unquenchable optimism
as for that sp, i can see that setting up that swing you need on the battlefield. his leadership is adding the +1 to the action total to help him set up enough leftover actions for the rider to trigger, but i mostly see the two effects as an either or. outside of larger build totals, either you're detokening the battlefield to let you go again or your setting already clearing figs to have the action pool to go in force. but in larger battles...
and before we get there, jimmy the woo can hold his own. modest values to show his lack of superhuman physicality but i intended the right powers at the right time to let you make the absolute most of it. woe to the opponent that looks at that topdial range focus and think basing him will neutralizing him. jimmy doesn't go down easy
I APPROVE OF THIS SET
ANYTHING TO GET MORE PYM GOLIATH.
heh, welcome aboard. i hope you enjoy the ride
i'm, hoping to do justice in particular to the janet/hank combo. antman&wasp was one of my favorite cw pieces and i still use it when i can

I needs me some 3rd party goodness. More TMNT, some MOTU, AVP, and some Overwatch!
i don't blame you. i definitely had the same sentiment with caav, and the power leap certainly didn't help it any, either.
hopefully, the significant chunk of non-avengers material in here, particularly the wealth of unclixed i tried to bring to each set, will interest you
and if you're looking for indyclix, i refer to you the sentinels of the multiverse set and it's sequel, oblivaeon, which i just wrapped up. it's a great source material and i did my absolute best to bring it to the light of clix

oh, bob was great. a real back-bone powerhouse for the team with enough extraterrestial eternal macguffins to fill any plot needs . you definitely are on the money with his representing the ship and really upping the transportation for this force decidedly light on fliers. a neat trick is that jimmy can always shield-boost bob to keep their transpo running, whether he plans on takin a shot or not. but bob's big brain is well-suited to the range focus their ta & s emphasize. that ppb with perplex, jimmy's enhancement and a team full of shield is nothing to sneeze at (especially if you want to actually keep your digestive system internal, bob )
the sp was my attempt to run with the perks we got in the dial we've gotten for him, but to do my own take on it and keep his dial more ...economically inclined than the former. and as you pointed out, it's a throwback to the many times his mind tricks let such a doom-patrol-lookin' gaggle of weirdos walk around with the civies nonplussed. particularly the diner scene (speaking of his digestive track ). i like how you see the interaction with jimmy's own. giving these guys cover to survive their early bedtime will be key for the woo's plan to come into play
as for the sculpt, yeah, it's hard to argue against that svelte cape being smooth as butter, but i went into them with those iconic covers from the first mini as the go-to and stuck to my guns. but don't worry, this won't be a "sketch variant," ol bob will be in full color nonetheless
Wow, the timing of this couldn't be better with the Jonathan Majors casting news! Very excited for this set, especially to see what you do with Songbird!

Interesting. Once again great synergy with S.H.I.E.L.D characters. But if he can use the TA, why doesn’t he have the keyword?
yeah i'd love to see them in clix. such a weird team of golden oldies. definitely a dc vibe to them, if you know what i mean.
i wish they'd be explored more in clix and comics. i mean, poor jack frost. he's still frozen in the ice worm's belly. and steve knows where he is. i mean, give a brother some help?

kang is one of my absolute favorite villains and avengers forever is largely why. so, on the heels of my last marvel set being doom, this is low-key (not loki ) following up as a kang set. with kang, immortus, the plethora of council of kangs, anachronauts and generic troops from disparate time periods, there's a whole heap of kang in here to love
and songbird is great, too. while divergent from the avengers forever future universe she's from, i'm glad 616 melissa finally got her way onto an avengers roster. in the maxiseries, she seemed especially earnest about her membership. it was clearly something she took very seriously because it was an accomplishment she was proud of

i'm using shield ta as the agents of atlas ta, largely because of jimmy the woo, but gorilla man and derek, too. so mechanically, they're employing it in force for the synergy and team effects (not to mention the shared riff) but uranian wasn't a member of shield, so his KWs reflect that
appropriating a ta is a bit of a throwback to old clix, which is hopefully appreciated given the time-travel and continuity-laden themes of this set

thanks for asking
I was just confused that’s all. I’m excited to see what you come up with next.
Intervention. Nah. If this is the worst habit you have then I think you might as well enjoy. You do fantastic work and the board wouldn't be the same without you. Your dials are always well thought out and inspiring for me. So thanks and keep on doing what you enjoy. I get needing a break though. Thanks again.
