When the click is revealed, you can choose to move the token to a different character or keep it on the same one. If you choose to move it on click #6, you are allowed to put it back in the character it was on at the beginning of the game (assuming you switched it when you hit click #3).
But you can only ever choose a character 3 times throughout the game, so you wouldn’t be able to take it back after that.
There should be an asterisk on that 3, yes? Normally, yes, it would be three times, but he could heal from clicks 3 or 6, and be able to choose more than 3 in a game.

Nope. Hypothetically he could heal and stop on those clicks multiple times, that is true. But he still only gets to move the token the first time that click is revealed.
The chase Deadpool is like that too. The FIRST time the click is revealed he gains immune. Can you imagine how broken that would be if it happened on every reveal?
I notice a lot of stop clicks now read something similar.
This came up on another thread. The consensus seemed negative, but no word from WK yet. I asked a month or more ago.
They actually addressed it by adding it to the entry in the Comp. I meant to post that in the old thread, too.

If a game effect looks for the point value of a character on you Sideline, and that character has multiple or variable point values, you may choose which point value (and applicable starting line) to use for that effect
That's an entirely new portion added to 2.6 that wasn't there in the previous version.
So yes, you can now choose different starting lines for characters on your Sideline for Mimic's trait.

. . . .
NOOOOOOOOOOO.
I traded off my "A" a few weeks ago thinking that I couldn't use him for this.
I mean, it helped get me a pink cake Deadpool, which in turn got me a brick of Rise and Fall, which in turn got me my first pulled Mimic Prime. . . but still.
Yeah, the part about sidelined characters having to be at their max points starting line isn't in the WW80 core rulebook. Still matters for Jason, but only because he specifically says "at their highest point line". Mimic though? Yeah, he doesn't care lol

Ouch. I still need A. But that sucks simply because he’s one of the best options for Mimic.
So to piggy back off of Mimic's ability to use displayed sideline powers. Could Mimic Prime select Mimic with his rally ability and permanently copy those sideline powers?
POWER MIMICRY: At the beginning of the game, give a Mimicry token to a character on your Sideline with a point cost less than or equal to Mimic and with the X-Men or Brotherhood of Mutants keyword. // Mimic can use the displayed standard powers on the starting click of the character with his Mimicry token.
RALLY (5): Opposing Attack Rolls. FREE: Remove Mimic's RALLY die and choose a displayed standard power a friendly character within range can use. Mimic can use the chosen power this game. (RALLY: Once per roll for each die in a finalized attack roll and for all characters with a matching RALLY die and trait color printed under their trait star, after resolutions you may choose a friendly character to gain a matching RALLY die. RALLY trait colors specify which attack type they can gain RALLY dies from. BLUE = Friendly Attack Rolls. RED = Opposing Attack Rolls. GREEN = All Attack Rolls. When a character gains a RALLY die, place a die with the matching result on their card.)
Power Mimicry establishes the precedent that the sideline powers are displayed standard powers. Choose a displayed standard power does not specify that it has to be on Mimic's physical dial, so if I choose a displayed standard power from the sideline figure and then meet the 3 qualifying conditions of 1) friendly character 2) within range and 3) can use would it work?
Lastly, my favorite pieces to use with Mimic on 100 are chase A, LE Rogue and LE Archangel and at 45 are Mother and the older Doop that grants sidestep, invincible and prob. Copy Doop and use the reality gem and you have a 55 point piece with 4 clicks, a stop click, prob, perplex, sidestep, invincible, leadership, toughness, flight and TK
Can the figures that you use for mimic also be ones you have on the sideline for Professor Xavior/Magneto swaps? Is it possible to end up with a Mimicry token on a figure that is in play?

No, see 2.6a:

A game element added to your sideline for a specific effect can’t be used for any other effect. It can only leave your Sideline, re-enter it, or be referenced in your sideline for that specific effect.
I posted, basically, this post prior to Mimic's release. I have since edited it and reposted it to WizKids' Rules Forum.

DESPERATELY PICKING UP POWERS: STOP. Toughness. // When this click is first revealed, you may move the Mimicry token to another character with the X-Men or Brotherhood of Mutants keyword on your Sideline if able.
Question 1: Can Mimic use "Desperately Picking Up Powers" to move his Mimicry token to a character that does NOT meet the point cost requirements shown in Power Mimicry?
Example: Mimic begins the game choosing a valid character of his point cost or less for "Power Mimicry." He is then dealt enough damage to activate "Desperately Picking Up Powers." Can his player now move the Mimicry token to a figure more points than Mimic's point cost?
Question 2: Does Mimic's player have to allocate one figure specifically to "Power Mimicry" and others to "Desperately Picking Up Powers," or may the player choose one character for "Power Mimicry," switch to another character using "Desperately Picking Up Powers," and then later switch back to the figure that was chosen for "Power Mimicry?" Or does this require the player to have a second, separately allocated copy of the same figure as the one used for "Power Mimicry" to have this work?
