Yeah, I’ve realized this now. My MOT brick had both the Prime Blue Beetle and the Prime Reverse-Flash, which are among my favorite characters, so I was unconsciously using that as a comparison point. I may just need to ban them from my home games, or only allow a Prime if every team has one. Thanks for the feedback!
I mean primes are 1 per team is the "supposed" reasoning behind them being cheaper but we all know it's just a money grab. Primes & chases are usually costed well to promote sales.
This game isn't built on balance. It's built on sales. I'm surprised people still play at the venue level. Seems absurd to me.
After that, from 2016 on I just cut cost by 45% rounded.
120 becomes 65
80 becomes 45
139 becomes 75
300 becomes 165 -*Think he's too good at 165? I submit to you:
You might say, 45% feels like a lot, but its IMHO the only way to make those dials of long ago a viable option on the battlefield, considering their combat values/stats. (If its pre oreo base, I don't bother as most of my pre-oreo's were sold long ago.)
Is it perfect? Nah, but it makes it not feel bad to play those older characters. They feel worth playing.

Ooh, I like this one. I especially agree with your point regarding Prince Kal-El - I think it's really hard to overbuff these figures given that new figures have a novel of text and it's all upside. I feel even with the discount, the old figures just do less on rate. I'm likely going to do some hodge podge of your method and spider_ham's method.
From my perspective, I'm less concerned about whether a character feels fair or unfair compared to modern, and more so interested in being able to play some of my favorite older characters in a 300-point game without them being one third of the team or more
