Well i'm nost running headlong into your corner to get blasted. I prefr the cool and calculating form of game. Deathbird moves to W10. Moondragon carries Nightcrawler and moves to W11, dropping Nightcrawler off at W12. Spiral moves to X11. My final positions are:
U. Nightcrawler W12
U. Moondragon @ W11
U. Deathbird @ W10
U. Spiral @ X11

Well that sort of defeated the whole purpose of your first turn. Ah well, I can still do what I wanted to do.
Mystique perplexes up Starfire's damage to 3.
Starfire uses her Running Shot. Flies to N14 and targets your Paramedic. AV10 on DV13, needs a 3. Rolls a 4 (2+2). Pretty pathetic, but in this case, good enough. Paramedic takes 3 damage from Starfire's attack, and gets knocked back 3, hitting that strange invisible barrier that is the map edge, and taking another point for the KO. That was incredibly lucky, I have to say.
Iceman creates a barrier in N13, O14, N15, M14.
Human Torch taxis Invisible Girl. He's in I7, she's in H7.
Sue will use her Defend on Torch, Panther and Iceman, naturally.

Man you stink. Why is it I always lose my medics. I'm gonna punish Starfire if I get a chance. BTW you really jacked up that barrier placement. I hope you don't mind if I punish you for that Nightcrawler is irritated, he wants to rip out Starfire's redhair. He runs up to O15, and does a HSS attack on SF. He will then retreat to U10. My attack roll (Please something good) is, oh no, not again. The dumb site is down man. I hope you don't mind if I roll for it. BTW please give me another site to roll off of, cause I think that site is gone. My roll is 5+2=7. That's a hit for 2 clicks of damage. My final positions are:

U. Moondragon W11

I thought that the diagonal between two squares of blocking terrain was also considered blocked. (Which is why I did the barrier that way.) I know you can't draw line of fire through it, but I'm not sure about close combat. Mind if I see if I can get a ruling on that?
Found it. According to the FAQs on Wizkids' site, under "Blocking Terrain", "Diagonally adjacent squares that contain blocking terrain are considered continuous blocking terrain." And since, according to the rule book "Characters on opposite sides of blocking terrain are not adjacent, (and) may not target each other with close combat attacks."
I thought I had read that somewhere. So Nightcrawler couldn't attack Starfire through the barrier. So go ahead and redo that last turn. (While the ruling goes in my favor in this case, why do I get the feeling you'll be using it to your own advantage in future games?)
Hmm i'd suggest that you look at where you put the barrier Gargantua. Please place it on your map for me. They are not adjacent. redo your move (Or rather placement of it). You will see what I am talking about then.
Hm, I'm not sure what you're seeing that I'm not. By my reckoning all the barrier squares are adjacent. Squares that are touching at the corners are still adjacent, and all the squares I said, N13, O14, N15, M14, are touching at the corners with Starfire in the center (N14), so as I'm looking at it, the barrier should surround her completely.
If you still disagree, we could ask one of the other guys we play with to make an unbiased call. I'm willing to abide by their decision.
Hmm well I think I need to take some chances now. Nightcrawler will move to M16 and attack your thug. My attack roll is 5+6=11. That hits for 2 clicks. That must have depressed you. I will then continue my move to J22. Moondragon will tk Deathbird to M18. From there Deathbird will do a running shot on the Thug. She will move to J21 and fire off a shot. My attack roll is a 4+5=9. That's a hit for 2 clicks and the KO. Your move. My final positions are:
U. Nightcrawler @ J22
U. Moondragon @ W11
U. Deathbird @ J21

Starfire's going to do a running shot, move to N12 and attack Deathbird. AV11 against DV17 +2 for ESD. Are stairs considered hindering terrain? If so she'll need a 9 to hit, if not she'll need an 8. And she gets a 4. That'll miss regardless.
Human Torch will running shot out to N11, taxiing Invisible Girl at the same time to M11. Once there, he'll attack Moondragon. AV10 on DV16, he needs a 6. He rolls a critical miss. 1 point to the Torch.
Well, that could have gone better. Invisible Girl will defend Starfire and the Torch.

Well here is hoping that this works. Moondragon will push to TK Spiral to N10. From there Spiral will attack Invisible Girl. My roll to hit is 1+1=2, that's a click of damage to me. My second attack is 3+2=5. Yep that will miss to. Great. My other figs will clear. I think that put the nail in the coffin. My final positions are:

What the heck. Mystique will Perplex up Invisible Girl's damage to 2 and she'll attack Spiral. AV6 on DV16, needs a 10. I'm bound to get a good roll soon. I haven't rolled above a 4 all game. Gets a 7.
