"Shall I remind you that we're hiding behind chimneys Adam?" Hawkgirl teased. "A strong defensive position isn't cowardly. Just good tactics."

Here comes Adam indeed. But first, Dr. Fate will taxi Black Canary. Fate in N18, Canary in M19.

Now, for Adam. He HSS moves to I18, and attacks Taskmaster. AV10 on DV16. Needs a 6. Gets a 3. Boy am I glad I moved Fate up. He'll call up his Probability Control. The reroll is an 8. 3 +2 for the HO means 5 clicks to Taskmaster. To add insult to injury, Adam will steal the Light Object out from underneath Taskmaster and finishes his move in I16.

Hawkgirl moves to I23.

Incidentally, if Black Canary can use Fate's DV she will. She's the lowest point figure, but Fate isn't the highest. You said a few posts ago that Doombot would only be able to borrow the highest figure's DV. I knew only the lowest point figure could use the ability, but I don't remember it only being usable with the highest point figure. But then again, the way we were throwing ideas back and forth it could very well have come up and I could have just forgotten it.

With the swiftness of Heru, he was gone. Had anyone been filming the action, they could have shown it at extreme slow motion and seen that Adam flew across the gap between buildings, brought down his dumpster upon the hapless Taskmaster, grabbed the satellite dish, and disappeared over the edge of the building. As it was, there was a blur of black and a badly wounded Taskmaster.

"You have to admit," Black Canary said to Dr. Fate, "he's impressive to watch."
Fate did not reply.

Taskmaster will outwit Fate's prob control. He will attack Hawkgirl Needs 7, rolls 4.

Klaw attacks Black Adam. Needs 5, rolls 2. Oh geez. 1 click to self-mutilator Klaw.

Dr. Doom will attack Hawkgirl. He'll perplex his damage to 4. Needs 6 (with hindering), rolls 11. Now that's Doom style...4 to Kendra.

Dr. Doom is aghast. First the Justice Society take first strike by crippling Taskmaster. Then Taskmaster makes a feeble attempt to attack nearby Hawkgirl, a pathetic miss for a man of such "skill." Klaw perfroms even worse , trying to use sound to disrupt Black Adam's speed it acutally backfires upon himself.

"Useless cretins! I'd throw you to the dogs only they deserve better!" Doom commands.

"I don't see YOU doing too much, Doom," Klaw snaps.

Victor Von Doom lifts his armored hand a few inches and discharges at nearby Hawkgirl. The effect very nearly takes her out of the fight. An audible scream is heard.

"Earn your keep 'gentlemen' or I won't be as kind to you as I was to Hawkgirl."

I'm cool with saying the lowest defense figure can share the defense of anyone they are adjacent to. Or lowest cost ...whichever. For me this means either TAsk is sharing Doom's defense or Doombot shares Klaw's.

Wow, I really had your positions messed up on my map. I wouldn't have placed Adam there if I knew he was going to be in Klaw's LoF. Very lucky for me that the dice went against you.

However, I think I'm safe in asserting that Doom can't attack Hawkgirl. She's on the ground. Doom couldn't attack her unless he was right on the edge of the roof. Which he's not. Did you want to use that last action for something else?

Now, while Doom's without Mastermind Fodder, I'll push Black Adam. He flies up to G18 and attacks Doom AV10 on DV16, needs a 6. Gets a 9. 3 +1 for the light object = 4 clicks to Doom. He'll continue and finish his move in H22. He takes a click.

Hawkgirl pushes, charges to I18 and makes an attack on Klaw. AV8 against DV16. She needs 8. Gets a 6. No push damage to her due to Willpower.

Doom was furious. And a furious Doom scares Klaw far more than a Justice Society ever could. Klaw pushes himself to attack Hawkgirl.

Doom was not impressed to see her standing. He blasted her apart with his armored weaponry, all the while staring at an emasculated Klaw.

Alas, poor Kendra. I was afraid that was going to happen, but Klaw was the only one she could hurt with her 1 damage, and there was no way to get to him without opening herself up to attack from the others.

Dr. Fate will attack Dr. Doom with his Psychic Blast. AV9 on DV14. He'll need a 5. The roll is 9, so 3 more clicks to Doom and the KO.
