Oh. Well, drat.
Yeah, that’s something of a stinker of a TA power, then. You get free breakaway, but not much more. On outdoor maps it won’t give you too much mobility, and on indoor maps you’ll be better off knocking down walls and using Ultimates TA to obtain LOS to the target.

I totally disagree with that sentiment.
How can you not like running a fig less than 30 points across the board? (check out that speed)
You can tie up a medic, block LoF for all those TK figs, run up onto the roof, etc.
And with Anaconda you get a 50 point fig that will tie up nearly everyone. And when she takes big damage she gets Incapacitate with a usable 8 attack.
These guys are turtle-busters.
And even if you run Heroes and Villains together, on many indoor maps you'll have to break through several walls to set up an attack with the Ultimates. And only 1 fig can always attack a figure that can use Outwit on him.
Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, Hulk, and Black Widow are all outranged by Outwit. So they will have to move into counter-attack range. The Serpent Society members can make sure those Counter-attacks don't happen...
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.

We all know that "tie-up" doesn't exist anymore, after the "flyers shooting outside of base contact" rule came into play. Why even base a flyer, he can still shoot at range!? Likewise, why list this as an attribute for a figure?
Can ya tell I'm still angry about that ruling...

Playtip/Game Designer Note: Sidewinder is the perfect tie-up piece. He’s speedy, can avoid damage, and can give you extra actions. Early in his dial he can cover a lot of ground very quickly, especially with his Serpent Society team ability, which acts like Phasing/Teleport. He’s not going to be a front-line fighter, but he can consistently deal decent damage. His short dial ensures that he won’t be too much of a problem to get rid of, but he’s worth his points as a harasser.

I really like this figure. I don't know about the character, but he's quite... well, hmmm, how to say that ? Funny ?
The assorment of colors are cool too. As I don't play in tounaments, the stats doesn't matters too much for me. But the sculpt and the painting are my main concerns. And for this figure, I find them entertaining. So I'll use him a lot.
For the previews, it could be very interesting to have some tips about the choices of the makers about why they choose each powers and stats to reflect a given character. The making of the MechWarrior model on the Wizkids site is very interesting. I think about the same thing applied to the Heroclix figures could be good.
I'm the unconditional militant for the making of Porcupine, Man-elephant and Armadillo as clix !

They still block LoF - so use Sidewinder as a blind spot for your other figs to follow up behind. Even if that flyer uses Running Shot, he has to roll for breakaway to try it.
And just ask Bullseye or Magog if there is still such a thing as a tie-up piece. PThere are plenty of grounded figs that people still use.

great movement with phasing is awesome with added leadership, I'm ok with that.
he and Anaconda will see a lot of play (plasticity+ high damage !!).
that Serpent TA is very usefull for getting to those figs hiding on the rooftops/behind those walls !!
Doom is most pleased...^^

I like the Leadership/TA combo for low points....the rest of the stats will tell how useful the fig is.
Muffinlad..
ALL the stats from Ultimates are in the units section.
