No. Morrison turned mutants into a subculture, into their own "thing." Quesada decided to go and depower almost every mutant, thus eliminating the whole mutant subculture thing that Morrison set-up. One of the most significant things Morrison did with mutants was undone by House of M.
That was just Morrison breaking all the toys before he left.
Your significant for most of Marvel was sucktacular.
By establishing actual numbers and an extinction gene, he effectively put things in motion that caused serious damage to the Marvel Universe. Scaling back the numbers and returning the X-Men to the status quo was the only direction that could be taken with them. And please, as if Morrison didn't go retcon happy himself in his run.
Furthermore, how long was Peter married for? 20 years? 30? Claiming that good stories can't be told about him when he's been married that long is flat-out ridiculous. The only reason Spidey isn't married now is,
1) Quesada wanted a cheap gimmick to generate sales and,
2) Quesada wanted Spider-Man to return to the days when Quesada read comics.
Neither of these are good reasons to trash decades worth of character development.
I am in no way defending the retcon, but honestly, Spider-Man was a lot more interesting when he wasn't married. I can't approve of the tactics, but I am kind of happy that his life isn't quite so perfect again.
Joe Quasada said it himself, he said killing Steve Rogers felt like the right thing to do because of the then current tide of politics. He also said that bringing him back wasn't part of Marvels "five year plan". Low and behold, a new administration and Cap is back, after only three years I belive.
That's why he approved of doing it. But not why it was done.
Brubaker always intended to kill Cap and then bring him back later.
It was part of a major storyarc, but playing it off Civil War worked even better.
And please. Quesada said there was no plans to bring him back cause to say otherwise would be ruining Brubaker's story before it was told. Which would be assinine.

I started reading Spider-man in 2002, just about long enough to see every single event I had read get retconed. That's what I call a spit in the eye.
They weren't retconned. Everything still happened that you read.
The only thing that changed was that Peter and MJ were not married during them.

And Secret Invasion was almost like damage control on Civil War. I'm sure it was planned well ahead of time, but SI and Siege are almost nothing more then tools to get the Marvel Universe to where it was before Avengers Dissasembled.
Not really. There's still plenty different about the Marvel Universe.
And Comics are all about the Illusion of Change. And returning to the Status Quo.
At least Captain America was dead longer than Batman over in DC.
Did you really miss what actually happened? Joey Q knew that it was a bad idea, that no-one would believe that Peter would do such a thing, so in a transparent effort to shift the blame it was made that actually MJ "forces" Peter to make the deal with the devil.

Too bad most readers disagree with you on this, based on the dropping sales figures the book has suffered since BND started. Go fight that windmill, Quixote!

I think WAM/and IM is a sr but I think that Iron patriot wont. Why because he will be an AE and they said they wanted them easy to obtain with AE so they wont have an AE a SR (unless as some speculate its a triple AE)

The intro of that classic Doc Ock at SR rarity sort of indicates that one to me; Deadpool almost certainly will be the same.

But Batman didn't die. It wasn't hidden at all, everybody knows he wasn't dead and that Bruce Wayne would be back, only a matter of time.
And much of the Spider-man stuff during the time I was reading it was directly related to Peter and MJ being married. And lets not forget Harry Osbourne being dead for years and then back in the blink of an eye.
There are two reasons I'm thinking the Ironman Warmachine duo won't be an SR and will probably be a Rare: 1) The general unpopularity of Duo's. I personally like them, and I think Brave and the Bold was a good step toward making some really excellent duo's, but I don't think it's a sound plan to put it in an SR slot again so soon and 2) With Iron Man 2 being released around this time on DVD, it would be a good way to capitalize a relativly easy to obtain figure that features the key players. I do remember the stuff about AE's, but I don't know that they won't just to mess with the collecting aspect; Spidey is my favorite Marvel Hero and that Goblin is impressive - everyone will want one. Unless the dial sucks. Then only 90%of everyone will want him.

Yeah, it was even more hackjob for that very reason.
The whole Battle For The Cowl was pointless storytelling for no reason.
At least with Steve back, he's not yanking back the costume to become Cap.

The stories still happened the same way. Just that they were not married during them. That's the only change. And Harry Osbrone's return had nothing to do with OMD/BND. Mysterio faked his death for Norman. As has already been detailed.

Do you even read comics?
Yes. As you can clearly tell from my comments.
Since I wasn't the one who thought OMD/BND brought back Harry.
I think Deadppool is lame and hope is dial is overcosted by about 50 pts making him utterly unplayable.
Maybe something along the lines of Granny Goodness. That's the ticket.
Well that's not nice. I HATE Superman. He's the worst character in comic books. Period.
BUT
I still let him HSS in and out of bathrooms, hiding behind Superman Robots in a GAME, because it's . . . a GAME. Let people enjoy themselves in a game.
