Well I searched for an answer to my question and couldn't find it so here goes:
By using the "Sargon switch" with one of Larfleeze's constructs so that a character is carrying an orange contruct, and there is now only one other orange construct "on the map", can Larfleeze use just a free action to activate Summon the Orange Lantern Corp power to create a new construct?
Keeping in mind that the carried construct is in the game but now off the map.
great question!
the power does explicitly say "on the map":
Quote
(Damage) Summon the Orange Lantern Corps: Once during your turn, you may give Larfleeze a free action and place an Orange Construct object on the map within 6 squares and line of fire. If there are already two or more of these objects on the map, this is a power action instead.
so, I would say there are less than two if the construct is carried.
You know what would resolve this? Instead of saying that the constructs cannot be picked up simply errata to "cannot be picked up or carried." Then Sargon can't even do anything with them.
I truly believe that was the intent of Game Design. These constructs were never intended to be in someone's hands... thus they were never given regular attributes for objects such as continual, light/heavy/immobile.
I'd like to see them remove this "off the board" language. Back when it was created for carried characters it didn't really matter since there was nothing that actually was off the board. Today, there are a number of effects where a character is removed from the map so it does matter. And when it comes to characters, the ones off the battle map and the ones on the battle map are separate. (Which is why that language should be changed.) A carried object should be on the map as there are effects by characters on the map that can affect those objects. No need to unnecessarily make this game even more difficult to understand.

The biggest thing that matters with the "off the board" language is that carried characters cannot use their SHIELD and Hydra TA's, PC, or Enhancement (as well as a few others) when they are carried by a HSS character, which (imo) is a way to tone down HSS. If you remove the "off the board" language, this issue will need to be addressed.

It's easy. The carried character does not occupy a square and therefore is not adjacent to any character, nor can it draw a LOF. But it is still on the battle field.

does "off the board" for carried characters only affect PC, Enhancement, Shield TA, PD/Hydra TA for HSS characters carrying other characters? Was that specifically done to water down HSS?

It was done a long time ago, so it's hard to remember exactly why it was done, but I believe it was just meant to be a short hand to explain why those effects could not be used and it derived from the notion that the carried character does not occupy a square at the time that the HSS attack is made. All those effects are affected by it, but I'd imagine there are a host more now with special powers and all that. It could also arise in some odd ball scenarios.
Hey guys.
Three quick questions that I think I have right answer to, but just wanna clear with the more knowledgeable players in this board:
1) If Larfleeze has 2 construct adjacent to 2 separate opposing figures, when he attacks, does the attack hit both figures, or does Larfleeze has to declare the attack against a specific character??
2) If Larfleeze gets mind controlled, can the player use the constructs to attack??
3) If Larfleeze is attacked and dealt 2 damage and he transfer the damage to a construct, is the construct destroyed with only 2 damage??

All of these are answered on the OP.
EDIT (back from the PO):
1. Larfleeze attacks like normal. Unless he picks up Thor's hammer or Gizmo gives him Quake, he can only target 1 adjacent character for a close combat attack; he just has the ability to be adjacent to many different characters at the same time.
2. Yes.
3. The object is destroyed due to the conditions of Larfleeze's power (transferring 1, 2, or 3 damage). The object itself is not attacked, and therefore is not being destroyed due to the normal conditions (dealing 3 damage), but by Larfleeze's power.
All of these are answered on the OP. I am off right now, but I;'m sure someone else will answer them soon.
Fine. I'll answer them.

You would declare the attack against specific characters.

You could attack an opposing character adjacent to or in the same square as an Orange Construct object.

The Orange Construct object is removed from the game.
Q:If I am moving a construct, may I end it's movement under another object or character. In the case of the former, does the object on top get removed?
TEAL? Teal is for people who have not yet mastered sarcasm to the point it is always evident, even in text form

yes it can, and nothing in the game says that the other object would be removed.
My understanding was that if two objects occupy the same square, the top one is destroyed/removed.
That only happens if an object is dropped when Super Strength is lost.
Any other time objects are made to occupy the same square (via TK, Arcade's SP, Rampaging Hulk's SP, etc), then you simpy have two objects i the same square.

talk about making things more complicated... simpler would be is when two objects occupy a square the one that occupies it last is dropped from the game.
