I just got my math exam from Thursday back. 1% worse than the last one. This was the exam I felt the best about going in. I haven't had a math test in three or four years where my grade wasn't inversely proportionate to how well I thought I understood the material. Absolutely. Without. Fail.

Again, I was referring to most of the high point colossals. Dormammu at 600 seems pretty fair though. I think the Mole Monster and Uatu are fine. It's when you go above 400 points it seems like the Wizkids GD has a hard time making them consistently balanced. Some are fine, but it seems that most are not.

I have a feeling I'll be seeing allot of the 300 point Galactus around here.


The old school Galacti were pains.. I think I only ever pulled off beating the Con 1 once. I'm not a big fan of Colossals, But I liked most of the GSX ones that I've played with/against.. Seemed like they reeled them in a little. Haven't seen The testers dial(it's not up in the units), so not sure about him. I do know facing 750 points every time I play against a 600 point Galactus is gonna get annoying...

I think the new Galactus could take the old Galactus at 600 points. Above that I'm not sure. The Tester is up in the dial thread now.

Closer to 900-1000 points by my estimation.

That looks closer to a 300 point figure. But wait, he also gets uncounterable Energy Shield, Combat Reflexes, Perplex or Steal Energy at will. But wait more, because he can also take numerous actions per turn.

Wheeeee....

See that's just it. Your never playing just a 600 point Galactus anymore.. You're playing a 750 point team with Galactus on it... That's a huge disadvantage from the get go...


Imaging if you would, sitting down to play a game at your LCBS. You set out your 150 point team, and your opponent places his 150 point team, then selects another 150 point fig to his force??? You'd Smurf a brick.... Now I know with 600 points you have allot to build with, But at 600 points Galactus is evil on his own. More than enough for an average team. But having the bonus fig is kinda over kill.

You could make a case for "starving" Galactus at 2000 points or so, sicne that happened in the Byrne run.

Ok, just looked a Ziran, Man that is just evil.. At 300 he's really good, but above that, he's insane. He's gonna be a fun challenge for game.

In a 300 point game, I'm thinking the strategy against him will need to be aggressive. If you let him get the first strike in by being too timid, he might nuke you're only hope of beating him.

Yeah it really is about hitting him First, and really hard if you can...

Hey Ogres - the time has come for me to get a new (read: new to me) vehicle. I want something that can get upwards of 30mpg on the highway, and that is comfortable to haul around two bikes and two kayaks without breaking my bank. Any suggestions?

Depends on your definition of breaking the bank. $10k? $20k? $30k? $40k? more?

There are some really good small SUVs you can get that are pretty useful. I got a 2009 Rav4 for about $14k in early 2010. But I'm also the type of person that gets kicks out of test driving 30 different cars then haggling with the salesmen.

Buick lacross, affordable, good gas milage, good power(3.9 liter 230 hp, 3.7 super charged with 280hp) great comfort, all the bells whistles and GREAT resale value.

If size isnt an issue jumping up to a larger jeep might be the best thing.
