On a different topic, my Shadowrun group met last night and we're nearly done with character creation. it slows us down a lot when none of us have ever played it before and I'm the only one who's ever played DnD, and that was only for about 8 sessions.
Anyway, we have a Rigger, a Decker, a Mage, and an Adept. The Adept is an exotic dancer with specialties in seduction/negotiation, unarmed combat, and improvised throwing weapons. The Rigger is big on controlling little drones and things remotely as well as having a huge tank of a swat van. He's a social outcast who prefers tech speak over people. The Decker is just a striaght up computer nerd with similar social issues. So we were discussing back stories, and I said we should make the Rigger and the Decker be roommates who sort of revel in their intelligent superiority and solitude. My buddy who is running the Mage wanted him to be from another part of the world than Seattle where the game is supposed to take place. Then it hit me. Big Bang Theory. So the Decker is Sheldon because of his crap charisma, the Rigger is Wolowitz because of the whole Mars rover thing, and the Mage is Raj because we've decided he's now from India and is sort fo a myscital sort of guy, making the Dancer Penny. It just fell into place so well.
The problem is that they only typically play for about 3 months and then get bored and just sort of wander away to do other things. I am not getting an XBONE right away and they already have theirs so by the time I get one, they'll be nearly done with CoD so I think I might just get BF4 and enjoy it by myself.
Ditto. By the time I finally have a "free spot" to play a game it's usually "been there and bored with it" for the people on my XBox friends list (which is both shrinking and usually just people using it for Netflix it seems..)
So games that give a better bang for the solo player is becoming my target (which is a shame as I bought the XBox to socialize game).
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

It's that exact reason that I'm playing Fall Out: New Vegas right now. I just started, but it's not bad so far.

Guess you'll just have to get BF4 on the PC and come hang out with me then.
Being informed that you're getting a raise (retroactive to the start of the fiscal year) the day before a holiday that's supposed to be about giving thanks. Yeah, I'll take some of that action.

Good to see that occasionally something good happens to somebody around here.
