Thats a good suggestion, but I would rather focus on actually doing something else than just quacking around.

First step, make sure every GOOD Trader is registered as such, also every Trader on the GOOD list should ( if possible ) add a link to their refs from another site so their reputation has even more back up.

Second step, making sure a mod does something, registering the IP addresses from Rippers may prevent them from coming back under a different name.

The rest means some work between all the respectable Traders from this site so we can work as fast as possible when one of those situations arise.

If someone has an even better idea I would love to hear it.

Why doesn't everyone start a Ref page and have people post how the deal went on it so others can see their history.

Thats what they had in the beginning. I'm not opposed to the idea but I really think all that needs to be done is a little research before trading. Also, middle man trades should also be considered, I am sure there are well respected members that would be the middle man for trades. I would say mod trades but it seems mods don't really come here enough to help.

I have a list of people that I've successfully traded with on my Have/Wants thread. It helps me remember who I've traded with in the past so I can feel better about trading with them again in the future.

Don't know if anyone remembers, but under CCGRealms>Neutral Ground, there is the Bad Traders forum. This forum has not been locked like the Good traders forum. You can create new threads regarding questionable traders.

Now I would suggest everyone post there. This thread is a good idea, but trying to track individual possible bad traders in one thread can be hard to do when you are going page to page trying to find comments about someone. Starting individual threads on possible rippers are easier as the comments will be only about that person.

However, I would also suggest not to start flaming. In my experience, these bad trader forum are nothing but a ground for starting flame wars. Please do not do so as people have done in this thread regarding Cyberserpent. Vulgar and threatening language will not be tolerated. If people choose to use the Bad Traders forum and it becomes nothing but crap due to the above, I will get the forum shut down. I hope I don't have to as the Bad Traders forum was a great way to get your information before trading with someone back in the day.

I have also sent a PM to the Mod's about trying to get the Good Traders forum unlocked so that each individual trader can have a REF's page (like me) for people to keep track of their trades. But don't hold your breath!!

Tell me how a guy that registered on Feb08 and with 7 post can generate 52 Itrader refs. This site used to be a heaven for trading. Now its kind of a joke sorry.

Posting in the trading forum does not add to your post count, because if it did then people would have millions of posts and not 1 post contributing to the community. I have seen decent traders with zero posts and multiple ref (I am not defending this person though as I do not know them).

I sugguest people that have accounts elsewhere such as P0J0 and Ebay, (that has iTrader/Ref Count) post a link in they.re sig or have proof in they're sig backing up refs from other sites, more or less as a reference. Although proof would need to given via PM so people dont do "idenity theft" and say they're someone like parrallel fates ( #1 trader on the other site I think) As for trading on realms. I would take extreme caution on who you trade with. Look and see when they joined, and ask around with other "reliable members" to get theyre opinion.

Hey peps whats up? I've actually read every post in the thread (lolz). I've had my list up for about a week or two now and i dunno if i wanna keep it up. After reading all of the posts about rippers and stuff that happened, i just may go and seek out trades. Anybody know what method is better/safer?

The thing that is kinda off about that, is that another user (librian), also has nearly the same amount of Refs, and came back at exactly the same time as rockets01, as well as their list set-up is nearly the same. Other than one being colored, and the other not. Also, they both have no want list. Not really suggesting anything, but it is kinda weird. Probably just a coincidence, but you never know. well cb thats a good idea but some people wont trade like that cause alot of rippers will send pms and offer up great cards and make it look like there ripping there self off just to get you to send. they do this so people can't get in the way and warn said trader. KodiakZero the best way to trade on this site right now is to trade with the vets and the good traders, stick with the good trader list on this forum untill you can get your refs.
