Although at this point mafia has had a really hard set of night phases, with literally only neutrals dying. If they are desperate to get rid of a cop, I could see a sacrifice play. It would not be the smartest play, IMO. But desperate people do desperate things.

educational moment: jail keeping can prevent people from being targeted or you could have been role blocked (which stops your action). Those are the two most common reasons for a failed action.

Rokk said he succeeded, so it is likely you got role blocked or misdirected into the jailkept player.
