I finally got around to watching Moneyball, then I read about the story behind it and they seem so different. I know Hollywood likes to exaggerate a tad, but it's still weird to me for some reason.

Moneyball is a great book full of fascinating details and theory.

I definitely agree with the amazing lines part. Now I need to incorporate them into my everyday conversations.

I agree with that. It seems he is popular simply because he has been around for a long time, and as one of the guys in charge made sure he never looked awful, but did look really good every now and then.

I saw the username Space Jawa, and it made me wonder...are there any Star Wars stories of a space ship being run by Jawas?

Worked at our comic shop on Saturday...it was an awesome day and felt great to be back after several months without working there. One of the few Heroclix friends still around came into the shop and we bought a bunch o' Eternals and Empyre because poor judgement. Anyhow, I pulled a Uni-Mind from the Eternals gravity feed. Told him about the the Superman Prime I'd dropped and he ended up helping with the repair job and wanted to trade for it. Got a Fulcum Abominus, a Sentry chase, and some various other missing R and SR stuff he had extra of from Empyre, so I was pleased. Plus got the Wonder Woman WW80 Black Lantern WW Prime (plus more) for my extra CPT Mar-Vell SR Prime. Most clix stuff I've done in months! Add that to selling some stuff on eBay and the Legacy card figs to SlipperyDickTrickle it's almost like it's 2010 up in here!

What is your relationship with that comic shop again? How is it that you can just pop in and work whenever?

One of my best friends owns it, and myself and another guy (both of us "other guys" are teachers) are his silent partners/free labor in it. We both work a few days here and there to spell the owner for a day of recording with his band or other reasons he's out for the day. When I was still rehabbing from Army stuff and not working every day, I was there a ton. Hell, we had the biggest heroclix player base for a hundred+ miles around.

I even went to the Alliance Open Houses a couple years to order new games, play clix at the convention with Muncho and his fabulous hair, scoop up tons of freebies from Wizkids and all the other vendors, etc.

Now that's all about 8 years in the rearview mirror thanks to moving farther away, having kids, getting married...ruining my life in general

Rubbed my left eye about ten minutes ago. Had supper with a significant amount of hot Cholula Sauce and evidently didn't do a good job washing my hands afterwards. Left eye is burning and blind, looks like I'm uncontrollably crying. Burns like a mother ####er even after flushing it out.
