This past Saturday, all four of us (Jim, new Jeff, old Mark and me) played in the sealed tourney at Kool's. We all pulled a Unique. New Jeff pulled Black King ( who is a BEAST in sealed!), Mark pulled Stilt-Man, Jim pulled Crystal and I pulled Jocasta AND Purple Man . Don was Dumbfounded that we all pulled Uniques, and that I pulled two FROM ONLY TWO PACKS!!! Anyway new Jeff won 3-0. Two weeks in a row, go Jeff! Any who, Maddrox is pretty cool. See you guys this weekend for Dynamic-Duoes What? Again? Don watched too much Bat-Man growing up.

I think that's 3 weeks in a row... (not counting the off week.. MW Prizes WTF?). But thank you! Really I mean it.... you guys are a tough group to play against!!!!!!
a couple of notes:
I have NOT played a nova blast in weeks! so F-off!
The only good sport is a dead one.
Ch'p Rules! RODENT POWER!
I just want to see Howard the Duck the transporter!
-Cyclone Jack hallucinating hack, thinks that Donna Reed eats dollar bills
I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
It would be the Unsung Hero that won the Robot tournament which you were a "no show"! Ch'p is very cool! Would welcome a Howard the Duck Transporter! Though he is not a a rodent. I hope that you don't think me "fowl" for pointing that out!

Dynamic Duo: Step 1: "Trade" a Vet Transporter Hawkeye to Karl for nothing. Step 2: Buy a booster of Horrorclix or any White Wolf product along with said Vet Hawkeye. Step 3: Tune out Karl's 15min conversation about the horror genre. Step 4: Ignore Don's questions of why does that newly bought figure already have an ID sticker on the bottom of it? Step 5: Run Vet Hawkeye & Vet Transporter Ghost Rider. Step 6: Win LE
New Guy Night:
This tourney will mark my triumphent return to the Minor Venue! And what better way to make a return than with a 400pt unrestricted (mostly) tourney. Now if you really want to Screw Fellowship, I would follow the steps outlined above but replace Vet Transporter Hawkeye with Vet Black Adam.
Otherwise, Triple H should be showcased as the most dominate figure in the environment. Ultimate Phoenix and Firelord will turn most figures into extra crispy! Only 5% of the Seth-Block figures should be played, the rest can't hang with the old school figs. Will anyone attempt to turn Tomar Re's debut into a winner!?!
Supernova Map:
I'm not sold on this map. Don't like the shifting of the starting areas. And the areas are imbalanced, one is closer to the Alien Temple than the other by 1 square. And yes, 1 square makes a hugh difference.
I also don't like the rules for the Space Terrain. I don't like the fact that 1 map has rules that the 3 other Invitational legal maps don't have. Plus the rules need some FAQing, will have to wait until Hair10 does it.
...Some people call me a space cowboy. Some call me a gangster of love...
So, am I the only one who likes the new Supernova space map? Can't wait to put it into play. Love to see the space rules with the Guardians of the Globe TA. NO ONE ROLLS MORE DOUBLES THAN YOURS TRULY!!! So auto knock back (reguardless of damage reducing powers) and Incap when doubles are rolled. I LIKE IT!!! Question for our esteemed Captian... Does this new rule for deep space knock back figures with charge? I would think no. So COLOSSAL figs ignore Skrull and Danger Girl TA'S? Immunity to clevage and Daisy Dukes is a BAD THING!:cross-eye . Another Question for "Cappy... Will we be able to T-bolt to the GG TA at Dreamland? If not when? Any way see you all Saturday.
SPECIAL MAP RULES: SPACE TERRAIN
Equipped with personal life support and zero-g maneuvering jets, your assembled force leaps into the void!
Squares inside the boundary of an orange line on this map are space terrain. Space terrain is clear terrain modified by the following rules:
Characters given move actions when they occupy space terrain modify their speed values by +2 for the action. Halve the range values of all characters occupying space terrain and all characters drawing a line of fire to a character occupying space terrain.
A successful attack that does not otherwise knock back a character occupying space terrain knocks back that character a number of squares equal to the damage dealt -2, to a minimum of 0. When targeting a character occupying space terrain with Force Blast, roll two six-sided dice instead of one. All knock back ends immediately when a character enters the first square that is not space terrain. Characters occupying space terrain are not dealt knock back damage if their knock back paths are ended by the edge of the map.
Seth's Knockback Explaination:
Remember that lack of gravity that allows all characters to move more quickly, and to nearly fly across the map? It also means that they are much more vulnerable to getting thrown around. On Deep Space, characters in space terrain are knocked back normally if an attack roll against them results in doubles on the dice--but they are also knocked back (if not already) by any attack that deals 3 or more damage. Note that the knock back is based on damage dealt, not damage taken; powers and effects that reduce damage taken can’t protect you from the effects of space terrain!
Guardians of the Globe (Team Ability)
When a member of this team rolls doubles on the dice on a successful attack roll, the target is not knocked back. The attack deals damage normally. If the target has zero or one action token after the attack has been resolved, give the target an action token.

Hold on there Sparky. This is going to be a serious timing issue that only Hair10 can rule on offically. The key is when does the Space Terrain and the Team Ability check for knockback.
Doubles are rolled on the dice; Space Terrain checks here and says the fig is getting knocked back, I'm good and I turn off.
Then the TA checks for knockback and says, ok you stay put and take a token.
End result, the figure is not knocked back.

Space Terrain checks here and says, you are not moving, I turn on and knock you back.
End result, the figure is knocked back.
Or it may come down to the rule of thumb can't trumps can. The GG TA states, "target is not knocked back". Period, end of discussion. The fig does not move due to any other game effect.

You are correct. Characters with Charge or have special rules associated with them that ignore knockback will never suffer knockback. Whether the knockback is triggered from rolling doubles, a BFC like Low Gravity, or a terrain rule.

All Colossal figs ignore Shape Change, the Skrull TA, and the Danger Girl TA. They do not ignore the effects generated from Feats that have Shape Change as a prerequisite. The Colossal figures are Sentinel, Sinestro Construct, Galactus, Spectre, Dark Phoenix, and Jean Grey Phoenix.

Yes. The Team Ability does not state that it cannot be copied by Wild Cards. So you can TBolt to Guardians of the Globe Team Ability.

hmmm could be......
so is HSS and transporters alloud for new guy night, has the ban finally been lifted by Don's Trade Federation on the humble planet of HSS transporters ICWO??
might have to change my team if that be the truth instead of wishful thinking

Only Hawkeye and Lockjaw transporters are banned. HSS and ICWO are of course still banned!
Good. At least we don't have to worry about you whipping out your Hawkeye in front of everyone.
Yeah the mere sight of it brings a shiver down the spines of many a player! You all must admit, I have a pretty good track record with him! Not too bad with Lockjaw either!
