well in the cops defense in telling a complete stranger, me, those details, he did say he only had 3 hours of sleep since all this started so. they were pissed that they injured one of their cops and killed the MIT cop. i bet they were surprised he survived the shoot out. he did get a shot to the main leg artery and was bleeding out. loss so much blood that the cop felt he'd be screwed up mentally from it. i'm sorry, but i agree with the sentiment that these type of creeps - when it's a clear open and shut case that they're guilty - deserve the death penalty. they obviously don't care about other people rights, why should we care about theirs?

Oh, and yesterday, I was the one with the submerged comic collection. We ended up with about 4-5 inches of water throughout the basement, and some longboxes got soaked. I lost part of my complete run of Sandman and Living Dead (Ultimates 3, issue 1 is still in mint condition, though, so I can only assume that floodwaters have crap taste in comics). I am happy to say that the one book that I cared about - my copy of Thor #362 autographed by Walt Simonson - came through clean and dry. So, all told, probably lost a few hundred bucks in books, which isn't really all that bad.
It appears that I spoke too soon:
And the crap taste of the floodwaters was confirmed when I found my signed copy of NYX #3 soaked, but a random issue of Chuck Austen's X-Men run in perfect condition.
A day late, but congrats to two of our Mafian Brothers, Iceman and JackofHearts!
Pax, you the next one up to the plate?
Hear Hear! And yes, I do believe that Pax's green mile to the altar has already been set up to be walked.

Wow, are they even readable after something like that?

Hey guys. I'm trying to think of a figure that would make for an easy repaint into Cecelia Reyes from the late 90's X-Men. SR Invisible Woman from the Cap set seems to be going for mroe than I'm willing to pay so I'm looking for an alternative.
congrats to Ice and JoHs! (will Ice even see these posts? ) bummer Hail on the comics. and yes, Pax i believe is next sometime in Sept.

Stan I don't get the power. Is it like a force field? Maybe Armor or Remac?
I don't know remac. It's similar to Armor, but more of a cross between that and Sue Storm. In her early appearances it was only reactive, and only covered parts of her body that were in jeopardy. And then it faded away within seconds. Later she could control it like Sue.
EDIT: It'd be funny to use a bubble from M10th magneto.
