As in I was afraid I would not have time to get to the bathroom if I was sleeping.
Good news is that shortly after my last post I was able to sleep a couple hours.
Caught up on some comic reading- the Busiek 2001 ish Defenders (ugh I hate Erik Larsen art) and then his earlier Avengers stuff, which was pretty solid.
Yeah, that's him. The guy has a weird style of penciling.
It looks like he has severe arthritis in his right hand especially in his pointer finger, hence the weird grip. I can't criticize since he can still draw better than me.
I have never been a fan of his work but I know that Savage Dragon has a loyal following. However, those original Image people were all kind of similar anyways.

I'm indifferent towards Larsen, but he seems to have a lot of fans. Are they fans of his writing, his art, or both?
I'm not sure. I read a few issues of Savage Dragon way back when but I think it was his art that drew me to check out the book. I remember him as the regular artist on Amazing Spider-Man shortly after McFarlane left and thinking that Larsen's style had a lot of similarities to McFarlane's back then.

Yeah, I thought the same thing about the arthritis when I first saw his grip. I give him props for being able to put out a monthly (semi-monthly?) book with that grip. I sure as heck wouldn't be able to do it.
Well now, it sounds like this is an actual story, and not just a throwaway anecdote like, "I thought the cat ate my Dr. Doom clix, but it was just behind the vase. I didn't need to kill my cat." So, more details, please.
reminds me when my one cat was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid, he started getting real bad and the medicine the vet prescribed wasn't doing anything. we had to board him for a vacation and he got worse. while on vacation we got a call that he got crazy better after they stopped with the medication. once we got home and got him my Mom decided the best course of action was to just feed him more to keep up with the weight he was losing from the overactive thyroid. the vet gave him two-weeks and he outlasted that prognosis by two and a half years. Still miss the fella.
Well the bank won't give me credit because i'm a bad risk and I don't pay my bills on time. So I have to work for what I have!
