With only 6 teams what if we play only in one universe and swap each season or snake draft a team from each universe to allow more mystery when submitting a team for play?
Each player has two teams?
Do we want to do this? What are potential challenges and how do we prepare for them?

Thatd be really weird but cool too!
Challenges: too confusing, frustration in building for a team that wasn't used, slower upgrading.
Of those, I don't think it is too confusing except maybe to new recruits. The rest seem low to non issues personally. Slower upgrade could be good actually, helps tone the teams with many upgrades down to the level of teams with hardly any upgradability from a figure standpoint.
Wow, haven't seen it that low before! Pick something obscure, like Avengers, then you'll get what you want!
I actually did a double take, lol.
I'm definitely picking what is not likely to be much of a competitive team, but hopefully, at least fun. Unless someone else gets them first, in which case, drat.

Ha ha, nice.
I was thinking of that as well. If we do draft 2 teams each then that could be a possibility. I have a team I've wanted to run but timing was never right. Reboot makes it easy!

You would get picks 6 and 7 so not the worse position if we get one from each universe.
It would actually be interesting to see what the champ does since he would get picks 1 and 12! Top choice of either universe then 6th choice of the other.
And then the character draft would be the same. You have to decide how meaningful a character is if he can be fielded in multiple cores. With pupule having to decide which team he is going to add a character knowing that he’ll have to wait 12 picks until he gets the chance to do so again. This cut down on trading I would think during the draft as well.

Ooh, one from each universe? Well I know one for sure...

The underlined wouldn't be an issue, since Marvel and DC character draft is handled separately.
As to trading, I think if we did this - for simplicity sake - we should actually just stop trading altogether.

I agree that playing 2 different teams is fun, and it also helps prevent things from feeling stale. It can get tiresome playing the same team for the entire season. In past seasons, I've intentionally pursued upgrades just to get enough RP to field a second team, and I'd be glad to be able to do that from the start.
I'd also agree with stopping trading altogether if we do go to 2 teams for everyone. The main rationale for trading was to give people a way to get characters from another universe, but that's going to be mostly pointless if everyone gets 2 teams.

Oh so pupule gets first pick in both universe? I like the idea of combining into one character draft to fill out both teams making him as well as others sweat it out on who gets taken. Would open up bigger teams since owners would not want their keys players being taken.

We could organize it based on what Core is chosen and still keep the universe division for drafting.
So if I take a Marvel Core first then I have to wait until the end to pick my other core.
That would then mean I have 1st pick in Marvel and last pick in whatever the other core was during the draft.
