Kirby is Cheat Mode.

I haven't played Smash on the regular since Brawl. But whenever I pick up a newer version, I usually stick to the same strategy. Play as Bowser. If I only have one opponent, try to get a one stock lead and then bellyflop us both off the stage until the match is over. If I have multiple opponents, bellyflop the best player off the stage to give the other players a chance to win.

I'm unlikely to be victorious, so I make my own win condition.

I love Smash. Unsurprisingly as I used to fun the Smash Mafia games.

Still play it regularly. Love the characters in Ultimate. Spoiler for choice for sure.

Pathetically, I pre-ordered and got the deluxe edition when the game came out once I saw the teaser drop for the Belmont’s...and I’ve played the game maybe less than thirty minutes (certainly not long enough to unlock the reason for purchase; think besides the starters I’ve got the DLCs, Piranha Plant pre-order, Nes and one other...)

Looks like Mich beat me to the punch of letting folks see that he’s back.

I have a question that I maybe would have preferred to post in-game but it’s closed and this is a general “feel for things” question.

MichiganJ would have really loved to have been in the WWE game but didn’t even know we are back playing. While I’m far from knowledgeable about the theme I do enjoy spending time with all of you, but Mich is an outright super-fan and I hate that he’s missing out something he would get far more enjoyment from than many themes.

Would people consider it rude or “playing with the rules too much” if I asked the mods to let Mich take my place so he can be in the game? We’ve had enough interaction now I can see how some people might feel that throws things but hoping consensus will be it’s ok to do as a “Welcome Back”.

(I didn’t want to contact the mods until I got a rough consensus from the Mafia Family base as to etiquette here.)

Personally, as a mod, I wouldn't like it but I wouldn't really hate it either. I like there to be consistency if possible but realize that things outside the game can affect things, and if I'm going to allow replacements due to outside circumstance, this seems fine as long as it isn't a regular thing. So really, yeah, pretty neutral on it.

I can see how it would be problematic, but also I would love to have a big fan get to play in a game. I wouldn't mind the switch personally, especially since we're only into night two.

As a player, I would have no objections. As a mod, I would probably allow it too.

First, welcome back! And second, Simon and Richter are both in the game. Also, Alucard is an assist trophy, and Dracula shows up on the Castlevania game and can be battled.



Also Rokk, as a player and a mod, I would have no issues with it.

Both Simon and Richter Belmont are in Smash Ultimate. But they play almost identical.

I don't mind echo fighters in the game. In fact, I wish Sakurai went a little further with them. For example:

Ness + Ninten (I'm a little biased, yes)
Pokemon Trainer (Kanto) + Pokemon Trainer (Any other region, but prefer Johto)
Sonic + Shadow or Metal Sonic
Olimar + Alph
Toon Link + Tetra (this is probably overkill)

Isn't Alph one of Olimar's skins?
