It's like the game knows that I tend to avoid Conquest, so it gives me a pile of those blasted tickets every season.

Conquest has one feature that's great, which is the Proving Grounds. Being able to actually test new decks without messing with your rank progress, and still completing the various missions (including when you need snap wins).

Alioth + Galactus = Anus Person.

It's like they're throwing a bone to the reddit bros who cried hard after they changed the Spidey card text. "We want a card that works with Galactus to make the other player rage quit! That is our only joy!"

I think I have my post-infinite goal figured out and it's as dumb as their ranking system... or maybe slightly less dumb.

I'm going to see if I can reach 0 snap points. I'm currently at about 7,000 and need a losing Agatha deck to play. I tried to make one, but it ended up winning 4 straight matches, so it needs work to fail apparently. Or I've somehow made the perfect Agatha deck without realizing it. My mistake was playing typical cards that actually work with her. I'm making a deck with all 6-cost cards that includes her. That should sort things out nicely for losing.

When I lose on a double-snap it's a ~25 cube loss, so this is going to take more than one season by all accounts.

My Surfer deck, aka my main deck, mourns the loss of Shadow King. You served me well, noble weirdo.

Currently have Groot taking his spot and it's a nice turn 6 play: Sera turn 5, then you can play Groot where you figure your opponent is going to go, then Surfer. Nice little 8 point swing for 2 points. Pair him with Maximus and that's a nice 17 points.

I'd keep SK around with like Luke or some other fun 2-ptr so when Sera gets out, you can drop 4 cards on that final turn where it won't affect yours, but can affect theirs.

Having completed what I needed to in Conquest, I've returned to my efforts to tank my rank. My all-6 Agatha deck really destroys me, but some people are freaked out when I snap... it's silly. People playing Wave crack me up though. Doc Ock people are incredible!

My rank has broken 70,000 and I've put in little effort, so clearly a lot of folks have hit infinite in the last week and are doing all right.

Really hope they make this meaningful or otherwise I'll continue to try and make it entertaining for me.

I found the benefit of Conquest is ranking up my underdeveloped cards. I like it a lot for that. Trying out new cards/decks is just bonus to me.

I can see Big G getting smacked with the nerf hammer, but Kitty? Was a 6 power Angela really that game breaking?

Galactus: 6/7 -> 6/5
Kitty Pryde: 1/2 > 1/0
Snowguard Hawk: 2/3 > 3/3
Snowguard Bear: 2/3 > 3/4

Jackstar, why are you tanking your ranking?

I tried to get Mobius and got Kang, who seems pretty useless, but I'm trying to play him a bit anyway to see if he's at all helpful. Daredevil is better than him for what he does.

Because post-infinite ranking is pointless and I don't want their metrics to show universal participation and enjoyment of this change. If I can bust the curve on that at all, I'm for it.

There are people who are totally captivated by a ranking like that and they are essentially trapped playing this game all but non-stop and that's gross and I don't want to encourage that for anyone. Hopefully I'm not the only one who simply wants people to put the game down when they've "won" for the season or however you look at getting 100+ and getting you gold card back.

My current rank is 130,414. That's a lot of people on either side of me that simply can't be satisfied with how that feels.

And yes, Kang stinks!

I think it was Kitty, Angela, and Hulkbuster that was doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

Shuri’s lab definitely helps when it shows up too (which happened to me twice today ironically)

I've also noticed that playing Kang doesn't count for achieving 'play a 5 cost card' missions.

He's incredibly the worst. Needs a re-work to be useful.
