Old jeff just txted me that Kools is closeing as of next weekend and they might set up in henderson. any thoughts on other places to play on Sat?

Kool's is indeed history, they won't close their doors till next Sun (the 14th) but seeing the pain it was to play while they spat, I mean packed, we won't be back. The last hurrah was today.

Part of what I plan on doing will be discussed conviently with New Jeff and the WK people tomorrow. If Unsung can swing time on sat at LSoM he will try, so their will be a sat HC event on Sats, Sat is a busy day there though, good luck Unsung! I am going to hit up Action Comics and Sports to be my new venue, they sound receptive, it makes sense for them too, better for me seeing that Hendertucky is my stompin ground.

I will update the WK site as of now there are no more events being held at Kool's, I donated the prize support to Unsung. Hopefully Action Comics and Sports will be receptive and get the venue up and rolling in time for AA!

Well, we gave kools a nice sendoff at least.

Henderson is really too far for me to want to travel. If sci-fi or LOSM have sat events I'd attend.

Otherwise, you're invited to my place. No prize support, but the beer/soda will be free.

What did Kool's do with all of their HeroClix inventory?

They packed it up I guess, no sales or anything, kinda crappy if you ask me.

I'm sure William would be open to running on Saturdays at Sci-Fi, but not sure I would. I like the Henderville idea, but considering the number of players that use CAT, probably not too viable an option for the present group - GREAT for me though and that's all that matters. Just kidding guys.

BTW, I appreciate the support sent through your messages. My wife and I have been spending most of our days since Thursday at my sister-in-law's house - my wife spending nights as well to get her sister through this first week.

I mentioned earlier two deaths in the family. Last Tuesday, my father-in-law passed away. He was quite ill in a hospice for the last three months and on morphine his last two weeks, so that was expected - he was 88. On Wednesday, my sister-in-law's husband committed suicide. That was a senseless loss, but in a moment of confusion, he made an irreversible decision. He left behind his wife and a 15 month old son. That one sucked much worse.

There's probably not much I could do, but if you need anything then give me a call and I'll see what I can do to help.
