AHhhhh! That was half the reason I made that guess. Knowing next to nothing about Golden Age stuff I thought it might actualy be it. Good reason he couldn't use that name again

Well, there was the "Gay Desperado". There was also a series called "Gay Comics". Then there was "Rubber Man".
Somebody better get this right by 4:00 PM EDT today, because after that I'll be away from the computer until Sunday evening.
Let's not get into that thing about the time differences. I'm on the east coast. There should not be a difference since you are too. You're just in a more southerly zone.
As for the trivia question at hand, I thought Wyld or IgMo would've gotten this one by now.

Speaking of that, I think the name "standard time" ought to be changed. Since daylight savings time now encompasses eight months of the year, how can a system we use only one-third of the time possibly be called the "standard"?
"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Ignatz_Mouse again."
Too bad; I always like to rep for Billy Joel acknowledgment. And it's not the name of a Marvel character; Marvel and DC have never had any problem doing that to each other.
I was hoping for some big irony like he had used the name for one of his own Marvel creations (not that he created Scarlet Witch-- couldn't think of any female characters he created at Marvel).
Well, since I'm about to leave for the long weekend, I'd better declare the thread open.
The Golden-Age character who was supposed to be in All-Star Squadron instead of the female Firebrand was the original Wildfire. Roy wasn't allowed to use her because she shared her name with a Legion of Super-Heroes member, and that was thought to be too confusing. Yeah; a female, flame-wielding heroine active in World War Two and a male creature of living energy living in the 30th Century. I could see how the average comic reader couldn't tell them apart. Sure I can.
Enjoy your long weekend, CuCr. Those of us that survive the steel-cage knife(along with any other weapon we can get) fight will welcome you back with open(or somewhat open, depending on injuries) arms upon your return.
*pulls a butcher knife out from the same pocket dimension that Immortals in "Highlander" keep their swords while running in long, flowing overcoats*
