My march ides has been really good so far. Tonight my dad is buying me a laptop. I have been computerless for about 2 months now.

I remember an old translation of Monty Python's Julius Caesar on Aldis Lamp sketch where "Beware the Ides of March!" was translated to "Watch out for Ides in March!"

Never knew him outside of the realms, but he was one of the cooler guys around here. There's a lot of bad apples that post in General Discussion and it was always nice to see his posts. Going to miss the guy

I've decided to give my friend a written and ran LARP for his birthday. This seems quite a folly, as I've never written or ran a LARP before, but I guess there's a first time for everything.

Gonna base it on the Arkham Horror board game, much like half of my current Mafia game.

Hearing about zero was a rotten way to start the day. Easily one of my favorite people here.

Thanks, man. It wasa strangely freeing experience. I spoke to him last night on the phone twice and he's not doing any better physically, but it sounds like his psyche is crumbling. He keeps asking to see my kids. I don't want them anywhere near him if he's covered in all those various expulsions. His normal drama is traumatic enough for them. The second time he called I put him on speaker phone and had them talk to him.

Kind of sad that as soon as I got off the phone after the first call from him, Katya asked who I was on the phone with. Illyana said "It was Dziadz." I asked how she knew, and she matter of factly said "Well, he's drunk and then he gets sick and then you spend a lot of time with him and talking to him and stuff. And you call him 'Pop'." I often wonder if this situation is healthy for them to see or if it's making them grow up too soon. I really think that one of the only good things that can come from all this is that I use it as a teaching tool to show them the dangers of drinking to people with our genes. My wife's family has alcoholics as well so my kids are just as succeptible as I am.

I hope you guys don't take me as being a downer or anything. I think I've been dealing with ti for so long that I'm sort of numb to it so I'm not really sad or upset. Just sort fo talking my way through my thoughts on here. I think it helps me get some perspective.
