I'm not saying that I think these figures are perfectly balanced, but I think people are totally jumping the gun in their assessment of them without having actually had a chance to play them.
I had a similar experience this evening. I played a 500 point game using only GG GF figures (Strange, Surfer, Namor, Hulk and Skrull Assassin).
The Hulk turned out to be fantastic. I was NOT a fan. I still am not a fan of the configuration of the dial being a Hulk (while if it were another character that 'fit' the dial, that character would be well loved), but the dial itself plays well. In any event, the figure played extremely well, while Namor (a figure generally well received) seemed to be a bit flimsier than one might hope. Hulk's ability to use board control cannot be understated. Eventually, he did get taken out, but that was mostly because I forgot to use Protected on a key attack. Conversely, Namor stood around being Imperious until a shot opened up, hit one guy and made like a glass cannon and shattered rather quickly. I'm not saying Namor is bad, though. Just not as great as it might otherwise have seen based on the scuttlebutt. A lot of people actually liked the Hulk, but my beef was it doesn't feel like a Hulk...well, now I guess I don't care quite as much.
I think a lot of people are missing the point on that Galactus. The Herald is theoretically factored into Galactus's cost. So maybe that means that Galactus is actually the most broken 450 point piece ever. But it doesn't mean that the Herald is "free."
Plus, the Herald, like Hydra Agents or Madri, provides a chance for the opponent to score more victory points. So there is a risk involved as well. (Same goes for MasterMold.)

While that is absolutely true, I'd put money on Galactus+good herald being as good as/better than Starro at 600 points. Theoretically the herald is fairly factored into the cost. I don't think that was done properly, I do guess that Galactus is broken, but I haven't played against it yet.

he looks good, but i on not gonna say broken till i use\play against.
good news is the 300 pt version dosnt have a herald.
Depends on your definition of breaking the bank. $10k? $20k? $30k? $40k? more?
There are some really good small SUVs you can get that are pretty useful. I got a 2009 Rav4 for about $14k in early 2010. But I'm also the type of person that gets kicks out of test driving 30 different cars then haggling with the salesmen.
I'm hoping to find something in the low teens (or lower). I currently have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee and just passed the 200k mark with it. The car runs and runs (despite the ever present check engine light, which is a bit of a joke from the factory workers at the plant in which it was made which happens to also be my home town). I can fit my kayaks on top, and my bikes on the back rack. I just want something that gets more than 15mpg combined. I'd be ecstatic if I could find something that got ~30mpg and then the car would practically pay for itself in fuel savings.
coming soon : nu52 Hercules

I didn't even think about it, but yes, Galactus is possibly far too recognizable to be kosher with Marvel. Not really sure how that would work out.
I really like the Eat/Sleep/Heroclix design that uses the roadside sign symbols. It's simple and a bit clever.
Yeah, my three favorites are the roadside E/S/C, "Little Friends" and your first timeline one, in no particular order.
Oddly enough, the only one that I 100% wouldn't buy would be the Galactus one, as it screams "NERD" louder than any of the others. Not my type of thing and I would never wear it. And with that, of course it is the leading vote getter.

I would give subaru and volkswagon a look first then expand my search from there if there was nothing I liked. Since you said "new to you" I'm going to assume this means you want an "experienced" vehicle to put it nicely. So I would definitely start my search with the foreign models. I just don't feel like a used domestic made vehicle will still get the same mileage it started out getting. Although anything might do better than the jeep you have now.
