So yeah... for those interested in my personal life... New job starts Monday. Same line of work, with a competitor. Worse commute, a tiny pay cut, a ginormous bridge toll. Better hours, less work, higher commission, nicer environment. I spent the better part of Monday grilling colleagues that have dealings with them. All good stories.

Anywho... 88 days of unemployment. Since I have a specialized skill set in a very small corner of the insurance industry, everyone was telling me I would be out of work a minimum of six months. So I am pretty happy about that.

They make pills that stop you from being an idiot? I need to pass them out at work!

It looks like there's some schedule 40 aluminum scrap out there with a 1.66" OD and .14" wall.
I'll check on the price of a 7.5' length.

I can get a 20' piece for $28.96 and do the cutting myself. (You don't even want to know what it would be cut.)
20' is enough to get two 7.5' poles, of course, plus a 5' section to do a small one for your work.
