I printed off pdf checklists of the pre-card Marvel sets at work yesterday (woohoo, I am a rebel!!) and started the inventory process. Even though I have thousands of clix, half of which I've probably played once or never, it really bummed me out that I was missing so many key pieces. Used to play Frank Castle LE a good bit, the E War Machine from Armor Wars, first Songbird and Moonstone, etc. not that I'm buying replacements! But I wonder where they've ended up.

Okay, this post will have too much substance for the LPC, but it isn't really something I would post on Facebook.
While I've been working on the massive quantity o' clix in the basement, I've rediscovered the hundreds of old cassettes I haven't listened to in years. One of them was a recorded copy from CD of "Little Earthquakes" by Tori Amos. It was recorded by a gal I was crazy about in the early '90's (another Angie, actually). I loved the album as soon as I heard it, and bought the CD, so never pulled the cassette out. So here it is, like 22 years later, and I listen all the way through for the first time. She'd added several mixed tape type songs at the end, she'd written all kinds of stuff on the cassette case paper, etc. It would have been a pretty big deal, had I paid more attention at the time.
Anyway, we never really connected like I wanted too, and I moved away, went off to a couple wars, etc. She later killed herself via drug OD, in 2005 or 06. I went to her funeral, and hadn't thought very often about her until these past few days listening to that tape in the basement. Poor gal was kind of a mess for such a smart, attractive woman. So anyway, since I don't really know you heartless, anonymous ####s, you get to hear the story.

Well, these days the Squiers are a really good value. They're owned by Fender. The "Classic Vibe" and the "Deluxe" lines are pretty solid, and can get you that Fender feel and sound for pretty cheap. Just pair one with a 25w Rumble 15 and you'll be good to go.

Thanks. Do you still play?
YES WE DID SAVE HEROCLIX !
Now thank us by taking care of the people that take care of you.
Sorted ALL the DC uncarded figures tonight, but haven't printed off the inventory sheets yet. My observations after going through probably 800 or so figs in the past few days:
1: whomever decided to make 2 consecutive Marvel sets utilizing fist icons with teeny tiny little inscription differences in the middle of said fist for the set icon? He needs to be ####ing drawn and quartered. I know the sets pretty well, but still had to rely on a damn magnifier several times!
2: All those years when I thought it was sacrilege to lightly glue a fig to its flight stand? I was dumb. What a freaking nightmare of looking up the difference between Wonder Woman in Icons vs Cosmic Justice or which Supes sculpt was to which LE or whatever. Tonight I must've tacked a tiny amount of plasticweld on 50 or more flight stand figures.
Sorry, purists, but a couple of those included the original Kingdom Come Wonder Woman and Hawkman, CD Superman Robot LEs, and many other formerly exalted figures. SO much easier to keep organized.
3: there were some ####ty sets early on that relied on the Uniques for pretty much any sense of identity in the set.
4: Legacy was a beautiful set. Holy crap. Fantastic Forces was pretty amazing too, but not to the level of Legacy.
5: Cassettes deserved to be replaced and forgotten technologically speaking.
Man, I feel like I just have too many Clix, and I've been playing for... sneaking up on two years now. I can't imagine being in that situation as someone who has played since the beginning or close to the beginning. I bet a couple of you guys have some pretty ridiculous stories about the absurd amount of room that your collections take up.
Yes. I have a few basses. My favorite is an Ibanez SR300. It's so light, and I just love the thin neck. I also play at church, and for that I use a 5-string Peavey Millenium BXP.

I played (and owned) at least once, every clix made through the Captain America set. I think the Superman set followed it and I am not a huge Superman fan so only completed about 1/3 of that set. But I made a point of playing everything I owned at least until Kid #2 was born in 11/11.
