Took Quincy into the eye doctor this morning for a pre-surgery checkup and scheduling appointment. He was wearing his Aquaman shirt, and the very attractive nurse lady just about went crazy, because she is a huge Aquaman fan, and evidently Jason Mamoa gets her pretty excited.
That would be cool enough, but then the doctor enters to check Quincy out, and mentions that he is a comic fan also, and is sad that he is missing San Diego Comic-Con for the first time in six years. Then he proceeds to say he has an awesome Golden Age Alan Scott Green Lantern costume that he's worn to a couple of them over the years.

Both folks wanted to talk about comics more, but my cranky, tired-ass wife was there and was in a hurry after working last night, so she gave me a death stare and killed the conversation quickly. Still kinda cool though!

That is pretty cool. I am very happy that you are finally taking your son in for surgery so that there's no chance that he looks anything like you. I really feel it was negligent of you to not do this sooner.
