I am not refusing to do things, I am just unable to much else right now. I think this conversation is ripe with cultural differences.
This is not true. You have a role and you've presumably done things at night (barring a passive role like princess or some such). This is information you have that you are refusing to share.
It is fair of you to require me to validate that I am not scum, but in a circumstance where you labeled me "scummy as hell" I also think it is fair for you to validate that read. So far I am just there because you don't know me. I am all for skepticism, but I also am strongly in favor of substantiating our reads and claims.
Right now, we have no concrete suspicions on anyone though. We have some convoluted night actions with a great deal of speculation. But right now the heat is on you. It is your choice to not claim, but it won't help you. Even if someone shows up and gives us a "I copped so-and-so as mafia", your silence is only serving to dig your own grave. And since Silver is dictating the pressure and he's got more town cred than anyone, you're also looking bad for not cooperating.
So give me a reason to take off my vote. Your reluctance to offer anything isn't helping you.
Hey wait a minute! I object to this too. You aren't even making an attempt to validate your vote. You put it there and when I responded back your only response was to tell me to convince you to move it. So, according to this progression of events, your vote is on me for no reason other than that you want me to convince you to take your vote off me. Seems like a rather circular argument.

This is not true and you're seemingly purposely mincing my words. I've already said the reason I voted for you was because of your response (or lack thereof) to SL. I actually said that a few times I think.

That is the way it works here Sloonei. It is called a pressure vote. We don't have to have a reason to be able to vote for someone. If you don't claim, then you get lynched. It is how we get information out of the mafia.

Cultural differences, then. What is it about my response you don't like?
This is too much self-defense for my liking and I need to go outside. I'll come back later and do what I can.

Fair enough. I am not used to playing this way. But I am one of many Santa Clauses and I can put myself and another player in the write-up. I failed to submit a name within the 24 hour window of Night 2, so I decided to hold off on doing so altogether. There were too many Santas in the Night 1 write-up for me to know whether or not I was one of them.
Can you point out where you are in the write up? That would definitely get some pressure off of you.
I am not in the Night 2 write-up, which I understand is going to do nothing but work against me, and like I said, we're all Santa so I have no idea where or even if I am in the Night 1 write-up. Perhaps myself and my target are among the many santas, or perhaps I was roleblocked.

It's more than I've got from others. I'll wait for Silver's input here.

What are you guys even doing? It's not like Silver Lantern is even good at mafia or anything.
But seriously, as much as I'm convinced of SL's townieness, I'm not sure why the two of you are.
I'm even less sure why we've stepped into a game of "ring around the roleclaim" and "follow the leader" so dang early.
At least IR was willing to put down a rainbow list.

Let me guess. Santa?
Even in a game where we're all the same character, the crutch of roleclaiming shines through.
There's so much more to mafia, you guys. Make #### up. Come up with wild theories for why someone would do whatever they just did.
If you aren't doing your best Wallace Shawn impression, you're not trying hard enough.
So I am not wrong for thinking this case is inconceivable?
In fairness, it is HCRealms meta to basically demand roleclaims of players you are suspicious of.
I just think it's no fun in closed themed games. In open themed games (like this one), it's just a very limited way to get someone talking about a very limited thing.
It is semi effective under the general theory that there will always be one cop, one doctor, one town roleblocker, etc, but that build doesn't always turn out to be true. It is also generally true that reverse trackers are town so someone who can prove they are a reverse tracker is likely town. Etc.
(Oh yeah. That's why IR and Roy trust Silver. Whoops.)
Unless you're going to claim cop or doc or unless people want to actually lynch you, I don't see where this can go. Any other claim isn't going to lead to anything conclusive.
I'm not suggesting you claim cop or doc if you are the cop or doc. I'm just saying.
