I think we should consider modifying any title character, especially for these big games. I've been looking at Magneto in the other game and would really consider using him without all that negative stuff weighing him down. So let's consider those on a case by case basis. Makes them playable.
Clock King drops a time bomb in P11. Outwits Alloy's sc.
Gravy on MF, Alloy, Anole. Gets 6. A token/click to both Anole and MF. A token to Alloy. His normal damage goes to MF for 2, he's on his last click.
Jakar tks Thor to the porter.
Thor hss to H7 attacking Orion. Needs 5, rolls 7. KOs him. Thor ends in I10.
Sersi tks Thor to the porter and he bops back to F21.
Hogun on Alloy. Needs 7, rolls 5. 8 for Wanda. Imperv is 1. He takes 1.
So how do I lessen the gap without bringing in someone overly powerful? The Presence, that's how. He moves to F23. Silly but for some reason I like the guy.
One of my big advantages in this game is Jakar. I hereby offer him to you. He moves to KL13,14.
As of the moment our gap is now just over 300. Of course your replacement for Orion will make a difference.
Almost immediately I realized there were two problems with my turn.
First, Orion gets a KC roll before Thor can call him done. 4. And now he's done.
Second, I gave Jakar two actions this turn. The second action was an attempt to offer him up as a sacrifice (to maybe help balance this game).
I'm going to suggest we just ignore that he took two actions. Otherwise I can't offer him up for you. He's no Graviton but the triple tk thing is really an important piece of my current team. I'll let you decide, he may not even be something you'd be able to go for this turn. If not, he stays where he was.
Regarding the Title Characters. I'd be wary of modifying them to take away the negative effects, as they are meant to be there for a balancing effect. You take away the negatives and you get a really good piece at a low cost. Perhaps like Thor if you also remove some of the positives, but then you're taking away much of what makes them special.
I agree Jakar's been irritating. But Graviton and Clock King with all the Incapping has also been a big factor in limiting what I can do. But yes. Jakar is there, so I should deal with him.
New Shazam time. Teleports to K11
HSS to J14 on Jakar. SC Is 5. So much for your giving up Jakar to me. Well that's okay. I placed him so he would have a backup target in Sersi. SC is 1 for her. AV11 on DV17. Rolls 3. Uses his PC, makes it 7. 2 to her after Invulnerable. Breakaway? 1. Crud.
Scarlet Spider to L3
Editing to add new stuff. Lazarus Pit on Shazam. Wrath on Stargirl - she needs some mobility. (Edit, already used Lazarus Pit, changing it to Fortitude)

Wait I used Lazarus Pit already. And most of the other good defensive feats, Repulsor Shield Shellhead. I still have Fortitude, so let me take that, and I will give Shazam Protected from Opposing PC with his Trait instead.

You misunderstand my point about title characters. My recommendation is the same as yours, remove both of the extreme ends of the title characters abilities. Just like I suggested with Thor for this game. Another thought is limiting the duration of the extremes (in this big game it's hard to keep track).
Jakar to port? 4. Ports to IJ8,9.
CK outwits Alloy's sc and lets his bomb off. Anole, Alloy, Stargirl get a token.
Graviton sides to P18 attacking Alloy, Shazam, Stargirl. Rolls 8. 7 for Shazam. Since Shazam is involved I can't pc. Each get a token and click (well, no click to Shazam). Can I give Alloy the damage? Imperv is 3. 2 to him.
Wanda brings in the Hercules ID card. He sides to K15 on Shazam. Needs 7, rolls 9. 2 to Shazam.
Regarding Graviton's attack, his 7 would hit Alloy okay, but Shazam has a hindering bonus, so he would have needed 8 to hit him. Ditto Stargirl and her ESD.
Zatanna to P9, Perpelxes Shazam's Damage to 5. Then Sidesteps to P7
Shazam to Break? Gets 6. HSS to F20 on Thor, AV11 on DV19. Gets 3. PC that to 12. Oh nice. Still reduced to 3 for Invincible, but that's enough to get him off HSS which is a huge help. Breakaway? 2. Ends F15
Major Force to Regen. Gets 2. Bleah.
Sercy uses the ID Card for Bucky, CACWS5e Winter Soldier. RCE for +1/+1 on Jakar. SC is 6. AV12 on DV17. Gets 9. 2 to him after Toughness.

If Jakar's sc roll is 6 then who is taking the damage? Must be Hogun.
Well, that wasn't the turn I'd expected.
Jakar tks Sersi to F16, CK to K10.
Thor to K22.
CK outwits Alloy's sc and puts a bomb in N9, ports to I17.
Hogun on Alloy. Needs 8, rolls 6. 6 for Wanda.
Sersi on Shazam. She'll turn off her Power Cosmic to gain perplex. Makes her damage 5. Needs 6, twice, rolls 7. Then 9 for him. He's off pc and takes 2. 1 to Sersi.
