Buddy assist is seriously my favorite thing in the game right now. "Shot off the rim, rebound to Snivy, and he slams it home for the Great Throw!"

It is pretty great. I will be going Best Buddies with my Shiny Eevee tomorrow

It has been doing that for me, too.
I said ok once, hoping it would end the cycle, but when I took it back off it went back to asking.

And when I am in AR mode it only shows a black screen and says Expert Mode. No thanks

Shiny Eevee is now my best buddy. I changed my walking buddy to Deino now as I just hatched it and have about 50 more candy to go before I get my Hydreigon

It feels a bit odd to se regular Zigzagoons in the wild now. The kid got Pokemon Sword for Christmas and we have both been playing it a lot, so it feels like the Galarian version is the default now...

I'll finally be able to play that soon, too! I just got done selling some stuff in order to fund raise for my switch!

Nice! Make sure you get the 2019 version though, I hear it has much better performance. We've been playing the Switch a lot the last year so it's definitely a good buy IMO. Unfortunately the kid managed to misplace the Breath of the Wild cartridge when we were on vacation… I hope they will sell a double pack when the sequel launches.

Well, I only noticed it was gone when we got to Iceland so it's a bit tricky.

Where were you before Iceland?

I went home to work for 9 Days while the wife and kid (and the Switch) went camping with my mother-in-law and her husband on the west coast of Sweden. Our vacations logistics can be challenging at times.

Phantalien, I know I've asked this before, but is your wife still playing? I haven't been able to send her a gift nor have I received one from her for months. My friend list is nearly full and I could use the extra friend slot if she doesn't play or hardly plays.

She's been busy hatching this 9 month egg that should hatch in April. Plus, being stay-at-home for the toddler sometimes doesn't lend to her being able to play. Especially true when I am not with them.

BTW there are new pokemon spawning.
