As I understand it, the different JLA keywords are meant to refer to different JL eras. "Justice League of America", I think, refers to the Satellite era, and "JLA" refers to the Watchtower era.

I'd have been surprised if there were a Robin with any of the Justice League keywords, as he's never been on the team. You could always run a Justice League team without Hal or Robin (e.g., Bats, Hawkman, Zatanna, Black Canary, Wonder Woman, etc.)

Yeah, those are supposed to be the distinctions (70s vs. 90s basically) but even those two keywords are not consistently used throughout the various sets.

I'm not sure that Robin was ever part of the JLA in the comics. He was in the Superfriends television program, but I cannot remember Robin ever being on the JLA. Indeed, I'm pretty sure that is why the Teen Titans were formed, because sidekicks were not officially part of the JLA.

Ray Palmer is the LE Atom of CJ and the E, V of Origins. The Rookie of Origins is the all new atom...somebody else that I can't place right now.

jbship,when a theme team cancels a BFC all teams ignore it. it there under theme teams in the FF Rulebook.

Ray Palmer is the old Atom. i think the All-New Atom is the only one not Ray. (i want to say Ryan Choi, but i could be wrong.)

Plastic Man was part of the Watchtower-era JLA. I believe you have the Satellite-era JLA.

Ray is the old Atom. His progression includes: Cosmic Justice LE; Origin E/LE/Vet.

The new Atom (who has never been part of the JLA) is Ryan Choi. He's the Origin rookie (The All-New Atom), and so far as I know, there is no other version of the character in clix.

Of course, you'd have to talk to a commish about all of this, I'm just a guy ...

As Sable mentioned, the rule for ignoring a BFC in a way that only affected one team is a thing of the past. It only took WK about six months to figure out it was one of the more ridiculous rulings they had ever made.

Well, I guess you can tell how often I've played with those rules! Anyway, what about the order of determining who cancels first?

I know Tony Isabella had that dispute with the Black Lightning / Vulcan thing but, honestly, considering Black Vulcan's powers I feel they ended up going pretty far away from Black Lightning anyway. Black Lightning - as he was at the time (and still pretty much is, come to think of it) - had slightly better than human physical capability, electric punches and could sometimes toss a lightning bolt; all of those powers came from a belt he wore (the power later became "engrained" into him as seems to happen when you're a comic-book character that uses technology on a daily basis). Black Vulcan became human-electricity, used other powers connected to the EMF, etc. (you know - standard Super Friends deux ex machina build ).

Ah, good question! We may set it up so that the home team has to make the first declaration of whether or not they'll use their cancel ability. But I'll talk with TVK and see if there's a better way to do it, and add it to rules list.

What I'll probably go ahead and do as well is post exactly how the keyword PC works. You're definitely not the only one here who hasn't had much RL play experience with these keywords, so we'll make sure everyone is on the same page.
