Also, I pointed out how it's actually a very -usual- situation (for mason partners to submit each other's actions if one has gone AWOL).

You've said you were new at this so why so quick to figure you know what's usual and what's not?

I'm not saying that I thought his scenario was right, I'm saying that I thought he was right to say that your claim seemed odd.
Not just that. The whole bit about misdirection, the "two lives" thing, it all adds up to being weird.

Seriously, before my first game as a player, I read through several entire threads of games that had finished recently and most, if not all, of the wiki entries at mafiascum.net.

(And in my first game, I was in a mafia, and did have some stuff explained to me by the other guys on my side.)

My claim that Magneto and Xavier were masoned and I'm one of the two? You're right. Outrageously weird - certainly weirder than the claim that I managed to find the exact character who would fit that scenario and janitor him on N1 after setting up the situation on Day 1.

The bit about Misdirection is actually a viable lead and the fact that people keep ignoring it smacks of Mafia distraction.

As Thawmus and others will complain - we aren't Mafiascum (and I'm thankful for that; among other things it doesn't take weeks to do a turn). We've developed our own unique "ecosystem" here...a living Burgess Shale left turn, so to speak. (A lot more dangerous/unique powers and twists than you'll ever see in other Mafia forums).

ok i guess i missed when you gave ANY information about what you did or targeted last nite. you said you targeted joh and vaguely said you thought there was something wonky about him YET you dismiss it looking for the misdirector BUT implying the misdirector was involved in your partner's death. are you saying you're not sure about your results that maybe you were misdirected?

i don't get why you didn't vote for joh? i don't really see any claim from him.

slight prob i have with your roleclaim. is that this version of Magneto doesn't have XMen keyword, all his keywords are for the evil teams he was on. also why an Xavier/Mag mason with all of the dous in the set? those would make more natual masons in my mind. Jean/Scott, Wade/Cable, Colossus/Wolverine, Gambit/Rogue would make more natual masons to me.

I gave them a few pages back (though I was vaguer so as not to say which character I am).

Because a few things he said plus the results from Xavier made me feel he wasn't the direction on which to focus, especially since the Misdirector likely had a good lead on a killer.

As noted, IR wanted a new player mentored by a vet and X-Men: First Class wasn't -that- long ago (especially when sign-ups had started). These two were the "first" partners in the XMU, after all.

Not just the character claim. I said it was the whole picture that added up to being strange.
First you said that you thought your results were the result of misdirection, then you said that you thought your partner got killed due to misdirection. Can you clarify for us exactly what you think occurred? Or what it was that made you think your info was the result of misdirection?
I know. As I said, I also read through several game threads on here before even joining a game. (and the mafia FAQ thread on here, but I forgot to include that in my previous post, and I sure wasn't going to click the edit button.)

No, I never said I felt my results were Misdirected. Please go back and read and show me where I said that because I never even thought that.

I said I initially thought - before the write-up happened - that my partner's life had "expired" because of a PGO. Once the write-up came along - and I considered other options - I realized there was a good chance a Misdirection was involved with his death.

All I ever said about my (RK's) actions were that they were messed with and I was hoping someone RT'ed me. Never did I say I felt they were Misdirected ("messed with" can mean a multitude of things - in this case, a Block).
