Nothing immediately springs to mind... though Bosh is solid. I almost wonder if OKC would make a run at him. (I think Bosh is a solid All-Star candidate, but he's not even close to Wade/LeBron's class of player.)

I think the Heat are up against the Luxary tax, but they need to resign Birdman. I'd love for Elton Brand to sign for the league minimum. Doubt they'll keep Rashard Lewis or be able to keep Chalmers. Maybe that cancer Dwight Howard takes the league minimum?

Rashard Lewis is done, he got his ring. Is Chalmers a free agent this year? He's a legit point guard and there will be a market for him. I doubt he would sign for a reduced price. He should be priority 1 for the Heat. Norris Cole is a better defender, but that's about it.

Brand is an idea, and he's surprised me with how much he can still produce. Birdman is fantastic energy, they need him. At this point, anything Dwight Howard does will not surprise me.

And mal, Peterson had a knee-injury and it scared me too. Should have gone with my biased gut and taken him. Vikings til the end.

I think Chalmers is an UFA. Doubt he'll be back, but you never know. The enticement of a 3peat may play a role.

There's gonna be some good guards available. Montana Ellis, Jarret Jack, and of course CP3.

But of those guards, only Jack may be in their price range. And his stock is way up after the year he had.

Oh not for the Heat, I'm just pointing out that Chalmers' value won't be as high due to the guard market.

Ah, a good point. I could see Indiana making a run at Chalmers or Jack. A solid back-up point guard would have come in very handy against the Heat.

Looking over the Heat roster, I can easily see three positions that could be gone, Joel Anthony, Rashard Lewis and possibly James Jones. Mike Miller should be kept, just for the hustle he brings to the team and the fact he can rebound and play D. BUT, his salary is restrictive for the team. Anderson is going to require a bigger salary to stay, and in dropping Anthony, the Heat would DEFINITELY have to acquire another big.

They could Amnesty Miller, but other teams will likely go after him. They need another big regardless, but almost anything would be an upgrade over Anthony, even a rookie.

They could amnesty Miller this year, but Pat Riley is most likely going to hold onto it (the amnesty) for one more year when he knows the Lakers are going to make a run at a certain 4 time MVP. So he may use it next year to drop a player and put more money towards keeping someone else. But it's all so intricate and Riley probably has some grand scheme about what to do already.

Heat exercise option for Mario Chalmers

There was a lot of talk yesterday on the radio about Mike Miller not being a Heat player anymore...My wife will be very very sad if he goes.

I knew it was coming, but still Imma miss T-Mac now that he's retired for real.

Not sure if anyone is aware but the 2014 playoffs are in full effect any Blazers just sent the Rockets on vacation. Round 2 looks much easier after that series.
