I, for one, would need to know more about the map. This is HeroClix where vehicles can be hindering AND blocking terrain. Sometimes on the same map, if memory serves.
How much hindering terrain is there already on the map and where is it in relation to the braziers?
Will there be ladders or other squares allowing characters to access this elevated terrain?
Personally, I'm not a believer of the map deciding the features. I've attached an image of the terrain layout. I would show the map, but the grim reality is that someone has a hard-on for copying my designs so I'm not posting it until it's finished. Not a city scene, fantasy temple.
The orange squares would be the pyramid braziers. The map is designed for a specific theme with Team A getting the bottom starting area and Team B getting the top five areas. It's half indoor, half outdoor.

1. I hope the name of the map changes before you publish the darn thing.
2. I understand the "need to know" basis. "Grim reality" is cracking me up.
3. I think some outdoor elevated would be cool for the map. There's already some hindering out there if I'm reading this right. Four squares, not one, to be certain, for me.
I don't really understand what you mean by the bolded.

Sorry, meaning that IMO a 2x2 period should be the same type of terrain whether it's on a map of Gotham, a forest or a Halo mission map. It irks me that that map itself could dictate what type of feature the pyramid could be.

So, you're saying that if a 1980 Chevy El Camino takes up six squares and is hindering terrain on one map, it should take up six squares and be hindering terrain on ANY map in which it appears and a if Smart Car takes up two squares and is blocking terrain, the same should be true?

Nope and yup... I'm saying that every private passenger automobile should have been six squares and hindering.
Seems easier than beer or wine so far. This is my first attempt, though.
I have a couple of friends to went the beer route and it tasted great. I would need more room than my apartment to do beer as my friends use their second bathroom for this.

My games were fun. People were amused at my concept, for the most part (there's always someone who would do it differently). There was some frustration over some of the teams played. But in big point games, I figure you have to expect those things.
Did you have fun at the con?
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.
