I just picked up House of Cards, that Netflix original series starring Kevin Spacey. Excellent show so far.

Man all this get_1 hate, not sure I get it. He didn't seem that bad the one time I played with him. Am I missing something, or am I such an ####### that our feedback cancelled each other out.

In the end, all you ever amounted to was... chitlins.

Also, maybe it has something to do with the fact that get_1 opted not to include anyone on his Friends list here. So now that the Friends list is seemingly gone, we have no-one to blame than get. Also, he's a silly bunny.

Wasn't that only like 6 episodes? Or are we talking about the original. Jesus and Magneto were pretty good in the new one.

I'm talking about the original, because that was good. The new one was... meh. Very meh.

Yeah, I didn`t think it was great either; Iiked the actors. It did sort of turn me away from the orginal. That and it was so far before my time. I have a difficult time relating to things from that era. Part of the reason why most of TOS bores/annoys me.

Yet I like stuff from the 50s and 70s...strange.

Huh, just found out that Claus Valca and Alex Row from Last Exile are also Itsuki Koizumi and Kyon from Melancholy of Haruhi, respectably.

So my big screen HDTV is temporarily kaput. It's a rear projection unit and the image won't come on. Best that I can tell, the lamp bulb has burned out and needs to be replaced. However, the item in question is about $140 plus shipping and I can't spare the money at this time. Over the weekend I put the HDTV in the kids' playroom and managed to set up an old regular-tube TV that I had not used for probably the last six years or so. It's 32", a far cry from my 60" HDTV - but at least I can watch cable now. I may just hold out and spend money on a flat screen HDTV, but for the time being I am going old school. That's what happens when you're brokey broke. Oh well....
