"KC" Wonder Woman Unique (UL) 198

Good mix of perplex, outwit, stealth, close combat, and range. Even tossed an extra medic on so I would have to push my DEO just to get some support. And never underestimate the power that a wildcard next to stealthers when a KC TA is on the board. You have to get close to deal with stealthers and KC TA keeps people away.
The only thing this team is missing is PC but putting another 65 pts for Raven is tough seeing how much I'll lose.

Looks like a really cool team. You should have lots of opportunity to outwit, and you have several figs that can see in stealth, be stealthed, and give a retaliation click. Obviously your opponent will probably go for your key team-ability figs first, so if you can keep them out of harms way for a few rounds you should be able to give just about any team out there a hard time. You don't have much for defensive powers. Main problem I see is that you have a bunch of fliers and no grounded figs. That means it's going to be hard for you to get evacuated other than by Cosmic Boy. It would be nice to have Raven in there for the Titans TA and her Probability Control and Barrier. I would recommend her instead of Chamelion if you have her.

Looks like a lot of fun. I like the DEO agents. Haven't used any yet, but they look like they could work out very nicely if you use them right.
My only worry is that KC Wonder Woman. I just think her Veteran is so much better for the points. That 18 defend looks cool, but when you're facing opponents in a larger game (over 300 points) all of a sudden you're facing attack values of 11 or better with multiple perplexes and having *no* damage reduction really makes her a target. KC TA is nice, but it only has a 33% chance of working and that's if they're not taxiied. It's worthless against ranged attacks. I would suggest switching out KC WW for a vet WW, but if you just want to use KC WW, I think you're team looks pretty good.

And this didn't really have enough ... of a heavy hitter presence.. (this is not his exact last team, there may have been some modifications)
So then he picked up an Amazo, and he was WOWed..
Tough call. I guess it just depends on who you want to use. Personally I would probably take Hawk, Flash, and Yellowjacket over Amazo. I might d/g Hawk to E and take R Saturn Girl instead of LE Yellowjacket. The Amazo team looks like fun, but you might tell your friend that Amazo takes some practice to use properly. I suggest you and he playtest both of his teams and see which one he likes better.

See.. My team totally decimated his non Amazo team.
We never got to test out the Amazo team.
And frankly, we kinda made the Amazo team at 4 this morning.. and the tournament is at 6:30 PM :P
So we don't really have time to test it..
He'll probably be using the Amazo team tho..
I think Amazo is fun to use, but my friend.. he has never used Amazo before.. But I will be briefing him before the tournament about the whole HSS/SS/Dumpster routine :D

Superman TA or a taxi can blow this strategy out of the water unfortunately so I wouldn't count on it too heavily. It's nice in theory, but there are ways of getting around it and like I say, your opponent has a 66% chance of ignoring the effects anyway....

Well if you d/g your KC WW to Vet WW you actually would have enough points for Raven. I think I'd take those two over the KC WW any day personally...

Any other perks with Amazo?
He's best if used with a TKer and a 2+ perplexers rather than going for the dumpster imo. The Dumpster + SS is great for knocking the carp out of those pesky stealthed figures, but you will find it difficult to run in with the dumpster and then get back out of harms way until you can rest and then go again. Barrier is also a nice power to have with Amazo so might think about trying to work that in if you can. Since he's such an important piece to your team, it's best to keep him as much out of harm's reach until you have knocked your opponent's AV's down and/or gotten most of the perplex and outwit off of the board. Use him at range to snipe your opponent's key pieces for as long as you can.

Tactics: Pretty basic really. SS carries Psylocke around and uses RS. Betsy alternates with PB to snipe at INV opponents. Pyro provides cover. Elektra and Pyro stay next to Jean Grey waiting to react - a fun incident in testing was TKing Pyro next to Psylocke and then unleashing double enhanced explosions.
The alternatives I've considered included losing the barrier and replacing Elektra with Spiral, or downgrading Jane and adding a pog or moloid meatshield to throw in front of my opponents TKer to mess up LOS.

I like all of those pieces and I could see how they might work together quite well. I would definitely keep Pyro around for his barrier if nothing else, but the enhanced dual EE is icing on the cake, even if it is difficult to set-up.
Pyro and U IC Elektra aren't on the 'retired' list? That's good to hear. Love both of those pieces. I'm deeply saddened by the pieces that are going to be retired so soon. IC Dr. Strange was always one of my favorite pieces. Good to see a few that I like that will still be around for a while....
Hi Ando, nope I couldn't find a rookie panther or brood warrior, but i did ok commig in 2cd thanks again, (btw) I never saw any reason 2 get rid of Maggie she's my luckiest peice! ( 9 crict Hits & counting)
