"I should've put it as "Who killed Buford Lange the first time, before the Hand resurrected him", since he was later (apparently) killed again by someone else.
I'm looking for the person who killed him the first time."
I can't remember his name, but wasn't it his own son?

No. You're thinking of the time during his first appearance. He was electrocuted by his own son but lived through that and then, within seconds, Lange fell off the rooftop and into a garbage truck on the street below and disappeared. He returned in another heroes' comic awhile later.
Was it Wolverine or am I thinking of the 2nd person who killed him?
No, you're right. Wolvie killed Buford Lange (AKA - Leap Frog 2) during the "Enemy Of The State" storyline. The Hand resurrected him (along with a bunch of other "Super" types).
Then, Al Kraven went bonkers and started collecting animal themed super people and Al (apparently) killed Buford Lange. Hence, Al was the second one to kill the guy. I think that was in a recent Punisher storyline.
Wolvie is the correct answer, so Norb, you have the thread.
Ah, an old Marvel Team-Up storyline I remember well...the guy's name was Baron Ludwig Von Shtupf...his grand idea was to combine parts of Spidey, the Frankenstein Monster and Man-Wolf into an unstoppable army of whatevers.
Who is the Mab Scientist who calls himself The Monster Maker?
"Mab" ??? The Fairy Queen ??? She had a scientist ???
Or, if you meant "Mad", I'd say it was Ludwig von Schtupf, the guy who wanted to create a new monster by crossing spider-man with Frankenstein's monster and the Man-wolf. Heck of an act that would've been. And with a name like "Schtupf", sounds like he had breeding on the mind.
Then there was "The Unnameable", who was also referred to as "Monster Maker", but he was more a magician then a scientist.

Curses!
I was so busy trying to edit my reply, you got to answer before I did.

That is correct! Classic stuff Bedlam in the Balkans. My fave moment is when Spidey easily breaks out of his bonds and frees the Monster. Spider-Man has super strength; something a lot of writers seem to forget. Take it away Dirkzorn.
Yeah, even in the days before TOHOTMU quantified everyone's strength level, I was pretty darn sure Spidey was stronger than Frankie...yet von Shtupf specifically said he wanted his army of monsterlings to have Frankie's strength. Oh well, the fact that he has never returned says volumes about the guy's credibilty level.
New Question: Which old school Inhuman (ie, introduced in the Sixties) had a twin brother?
