Sean and I have been playing. I just got done by singles off of Strikezone. I am trying to fill out a GL deck and an Inhumans deck. There are 2 cards that I would like to get in the Inhumans deck that are pretty expensive. One is not so bad at $2.50 a piece but the other is $7.50 a pop. I will probably save up and get a couple in the next month or so. But, I just spent $35 on cards so I will take a a couple weeks off from buying cards. I will probably still go play on Thursday this week though. I normally skip every other week. Don said that he has several Marvel Knights cards, so I am going to try to talk him into playing.

what Inhumans are you looking for?

I have most of them now. I am upset with myself because I forgot to get 2 more of the 5 drop Black Bolt cards. I picked up one of the 8 drops in case hell froze over and we get that far along. But, I am trying to get Attilan x4, Great Refuge x4, and Armed Guard x3(I think that is what it is called). I picked up four of almost all other cards in the set except some of the rares. I did pick up 4 of the Gorgon though because he seemed like a pretty card plus there is not an overabundance of 7 drops in the set. The only other I can think of is the Invisible Woman. I need to pick up a couple of Karnaks and one more Lockjaw. I only bought 3 of him. I also need 3 of the Human Torch "Sparky" card.

Have you played an Inhumans deck before? It seems to be predicated on keeping you resource row face up. But, there were a few neat cards that could activate and give cosmic counters which is good because most the characters do not get their cosmic counters until after they rest.

But, I also bought a ton of GL cards. I still need to get 2 more of the 2 drop Kyle Rayners. Plus, I am not sure who to use as a 4 drop. I bought four of the Rot Lop Fan cards and I have a Jade and a Green Arrow "Emerald Archer". I sort of like the emerald archer card and am thinking about getting 3 more and use him as my main 4 drop. I still need to get at least 2 but probably 3 of the Sinestro GL from that set. I bought 4 Oa's last week. Next, purchase I make I will also try to get at least 2 of the GL search card. I think it is called "The ring chooses you" or something like that. But, I am not really sure which constructs and equipment from that set are good. I have a few already. They are light armor, chopping block, and GL ring.

That is pretty much it for these two affiliations. I am pretty excited to get the cards and start making up a deck for them. I need to get another deck tin box as well. I only have the one. I wish now that I had bought one more at Gen-Con.

Maddeningly, the Starro final was the first time in the whole series that I played worth a dang... I went in with a running record of about 2-7, but I think I did pretty well and decisively won 3 of 4, but that fourth "dice don't work" loss killed me... poor Green Arrow didn't make a single hit that round.

As with the Galactus final, the success I had came with splendid pulls. Firehawk and Green Arrow (Connor) for RS, Starro-Flash for HSS, Dr Alchemy to TK them into place, and the Rocky Pog was surprisingly useful, doing six clicks of damage across the games, and tying up a Starro-GL long enough for me to critical-hit him into a wall for five.

Tommy won at our Great Escape and my son got the Johnny Thunder for fellowship, and won't be swayed to trade him!

Speaking of fellowship. I think that is going to Ricardo. We forgot about it. I got really lucky. Sean missed several rolls and I finally rolled a 10 and killed Superman on his last click where he had a 20 defense.
