They're a favorite of my sister as well. That's the main reason I know who they are and what they do. After this concert, I went out and bought Four and Straight on til Morning just to re-acquaint myself with them.
I even got to keep the printed set list that their sound guy was using.
Set list...once again...jealous.
If you like those two albums, I also recommend their "Truth be Told" album and their self titled album. (The one with "But Anyway" on it)
"Travelers and Thieves" isn't bad, but I don't care much for the "Save his Soul" album.

I know I like Four, so we'll see where that takes me.
They did do "But Anyway" and it was a song where they had all the instruments solo in the middle so it lasted 12 minutes or so.
Funny thing is, I usually hate live music, but they were great.
They are definitely amazing live. A lot of times when they are performing live, they transition most are all songs into the next seamlessly and only stop to breathe.

This is the truth. They only stopped one time mid-set to thank all who were standing in the rain, but it was balls to the wall thereafter.
Got back from an overnight trip and was sad to read...

If I hit a second earlier, it would have been in the sliding door of the van, but two of the three girls were sitting on that side, and they would have been severely hurt if I hit them there. Hitting the wheel well was probably the best possible outcome since the accident was unavoidable.
I'm glad to read you're O.K. and no one was badly hurt in the other vehicle --- truly, the only thing that REALLY matters. I've seen the other side of it, when more than property damage has been the result. Here's hoping that you'll be able to navigate the waters of expense and inconvenience with a minimum amount of trouble.

Another couple boosters I'll get in next weekend's marquee. Whether I'll pick some up mid-week to take the edge off is something I won't know until I've done it or I haven't.
Yup, that's pretty much the plan for ol' Sox here.
For one thing, I'm more of a DC fan; for another, the clix budget has been seriously downsized --- that's just the way it is, when a fella is out of a job yet still has a mortgage. No big deal, just real life poking its head into the circus tent. So, I looked at the list of releases on the way and put my focus on Superman.
That said...a few weeks ago, I was just counting the days to the Thor Fast Forces pack, being totally psyched about the opportunity to add new versions/more options to my HoT possibilities for team building.
Meanwhile, not being a SHIELD or HYDRA guy, I was just happy to see that in the Cap set, the Bucky-as-Cap figure would be a common! No sweat in getting one of those, I said. Heh-heh.
But then I learned about the SR Squirrel Girl and I DO like to play animal teams. Even so, no real craziness until I saw...(gasp) the Invisible Woman SR...and more recently, (oh my) the SR Human Torch. DC or no DC, the F4 is my favorite super team and Sue is my favorite female in comics!!
So after that, I learned about the Rare Cap tossing his shield (verrrry nice).
Now today....what's this? Cap with the hammer????????????????????? HOLY CROW AND GLORYOSKI, ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ahem.
But before allowing myself to get too carried away on a magic carpet of plastic craving...I play at two venues and I hope to participate in the two-booster sealed event at each. Whatever I pull, I pull. But I won't be veering off the road; I'm still putting my focus on Superman.
So, yes...I'll be trading for what I want from the Cap set. Over the next few days, I'll get to work at revising my H/Ws which are woefully inaccurate.
But most likely, I'll be looking to trade from among a select group of chases and the GSX duos. But I'm not gonna go...crazy (at least, I hope not...until Superman comes out).
Meanwhile, to all of my fellow Ogres who have Captain America bricks or cases on order, best wishes in finding ALL the figures you've deemed as must-haves!
I look forward to reading -- and sharing in the enjoyment of -- your respective celebrations!
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!
Why are there only 2 of the fantastic four in this new set?
To let people know that if there ever really was a prohibition behind just part of the FF appearing in a set, it's no longer the case?
Alliances with Cap's side in the registration debate?
They were two for whom removable piece mechanics came easily to mind for?
All possibilities, all fit, though the last one's the one that rings truest for me. I'm glad they didn't feel obligated to come up with detachable mechanics elements for Reed & Ben; I read several suggestions people came up with when they started to speculate, and none of them struck me as worth doing.
